Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I am 19 years old, I live with my grandmamy in a small town in Nakuru Kenya in a 14 room stone house granddad build. I have no siblings, never set eyes on my dad and my mama is too much of drinker. When I was 6 my aunt Sonnie died and was buried  behind the animal shelter about quarter a km from the main house next to my granddad and my nanas graves.

About a year after Aunty passed away when I joined class one in 1999, I remember quite clearly it was on a weekend and after dinner I kissed my grandma goodnight and went to bed. Mine was a small bedroom with my  belongings and my toys. I fell asleep instantly and I didn’t dream like I usually never do, well until around 3 am when I woke up with what felt like a pat on my thigh. I couldn’t move or even say a word, I tried hard and all that came out was a small whimper. My legs, arms, neck and whole body in general was somewhat strengthless and even the slightest motion required a mountain of strength. The hand on my thigh was big and warm, opened my eyes (finally) and what I saw sent chills down my stomach. There was a person, big and was wearing black clothes, the first thought that came on my mind was that it was my mama. I tried to open my mouth to at least say a word but what came out was a tiny “Mwathanì” meaning “heavenly father” then my eyes opened up and with the speed of light it disappeared. After a short honest prayer to the most high God I fell back to sleep. In the morning I was confused if whether I was having a nightmare or it really happened.

When I joined high school I had a scenario like that I did when I was 6, but this one was short and less scary. The next night after that I had a completely different and more, much more terrifying. I was sleeping then I heard footsteps on the hallway leading to the entrance of my bedroom (the same very room) but the footsteps were different from that of a human being. I had a sense that it was my aunt and that she was headed right towards my room. I could hear her movement, her heartbeat, her breath. I could almost hear her thoughts but when she reached the door,s he stopped and disappeared. I never heard from my aunty again but the weird man with the gigantic hand never ceased to haunt my nights, until December 2009.

This one was different my cousin Lillian and I were smoking cigarettes outside the kitchen door, it was a nice and bright night with a crescent moon and a lot of stars, it was midnight. In between jokes and loud laughter Lillian stopped and moved slowly and made short shaky steps towards the door and pointed towards the direction of the animal shelter and mumbled “what is that” me still being in the jokey atmos looked at the direction of her finger and to my amazement, I saw it… it just stood there in the middle of thin air wearing a beautiful white dress. I couldn’t take it anymore I felt like I had just been dipped in a pot of boiling water. We went running into the house astonished and confused. We could not even talk, we just decided to wait til morning.
