Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Hi my name is Martica and I’m 20 years old I worked at my family restaurant since I was 15. When I first started working there wasn’t any activity. I don’t really remember when the activity started but I remember when I was 19 that’s when the activity was more intense. It made itself more known.

We would always be breaking glasses, glasses would fall off the bar rack by itself, a big bottle of liquor fell off a shelf and almost hit a bartender. The bathroom stall would always be broken no matter how many times you fixed it. In the basement, where we kept our inventory, the waiter and manager will hear someone calling their name.

One time my mom saw a black man at the bar at night time when we were closed and when my dad went to look there was no one there. Some times the alarm will go off, its a motion sensor, and when my dad goes to check it out there’s no one there. In the morning to open and night to close when your there it feels like something is there with you and your being watched, especially when you’re in the basement.

The last straw for my mom to call someone to help was when we were closing out. Earlier a drum set fell off a fridge and almost hit an employee, but later that night we were sitting waiting for the manager to finish his paper work for us to leave. All of a sudden one of the doors (to go to the outside patio) the handle is a thick bar that goes across the door and you push it down to open the door) anyways the door handle pushed down by itself it was locked at the bottom so it didn’t open it just made a loud shaking noise. We all looked at the door. One of the waiters was watching the door and saw the whole thing. We looked outside to see if anyone was out there trying to break in but we didn’t see anyone and the door has all glass on it so we could have seen someone if they were at the door.

My mom called a santaria (Cuban afro catholic religion) lady to help get rid of the spirit. The lady told us the spirit (not a human spirit but a negative energy) came in attached to a person by accident. The other person didn’t even know they had a spirit, so the spirit liked our place and decided to stay. It stayed dormant until we got more waiters and customers so it was able to get more energy. When it got violent it got its energy when we were scared. The lady prayed and chanted some prayers.

Its been a couple of months since anything has happened. I am now 20 and the only other activity was a glass fell down and a bottle fell down but that was a month ago. Now the only thing is uneasiness in the morning and at night but so far no more activity
