When I was 10 my family and I moved to a town in South Australia due to personal reasons. We moved into an old house. At first nothing strange happened.
But then one day when I was about 12 I was home alone and it was getting dark, I had just finished dinner and was sitting on the lounge texting one of my best friends when I could smell a funny smell that was best suited for an older person.
At first I thought nothing of it but then I could feel a slight pressure on my right shoulder and the smell was stronger. Then I heard a whisper that sounded like ‘it’s ok. I will protect you’. That’s when there was a knock at the door.
I went up to the door and looked through the key-hole, on the other side I could see a strange figure looking at the door. I heard the whisper again this time it said ‘don’t answer the door’. I trusted the voice and left the door, locking all the windows and turning on all lights.
At about 9:30pm the pressure on my shoulder was gone and I was a bit nervous as to what it could have been, so I decided to do some research on my house.
I started with what I already knew and that was there was a headstone in my backyard and a women had had a heart attack in my house and possibly died. After hours of searching and coming up empty I came across a helpful site. The site told me the women had died in my house and that the headstone belonged to someone at the graveyard and he had a new headstone now.
This was all it took to explain who the present was and that she was a nice lady that wanted to protect me from the strange person outside my house. I go to sleep every night and know that my family and I are protected and she would never hurt us.
Thanks for reading.

LOL……. it was an interesting story ……hahahah
I guess in other countries you are able to have headstones in your back yards. We do not do that in the United States. Maybe that is why you are having trouble. I would try to remove it from your yard or simply move.
Actually we do that in the US, there are lots of places out in the country where people bury their folks in a family cemetery in the back yard
Also not all graves were marked when this coutry was being settled. So you really don’t know if or whom is burried in your yard.
I know of one place near where I live that the headstones were all pushed up againt a tree when I was a child and the farmer actually planted crops there. I always had a problem with that but I guess the farmer didn’t.
LOL….is it a story of any movie?? i have seen movie of same concept that u have been used to complete your story……lolzz
Really now? What’s the movie called?
Hi.. Really this was a interesting .. In ma country they do not bury the body behind or near by home.. It will too apart from the living area..
I loved this. It’s nice to know that there are people even in death that are not afraid of helping out a stranger.
Thanks for making me smile.

i live in QLD used to live in Brisbane and less then 1/2 km from our house guess it was part of our yard there was a grave i never really went near it lived in that house for 18 years and freaked me out but apparently her story was this: i lived in a suburb close to the brisbane river industrial area but back in the late 1800′s when the area was first settled was called tent city because it was the oly available accomadation any way apparently she was only young little thing around 6-10 years she got ill with the flu or something similar and her family couldnt afford medicine or her father was gone to get medication not 100% sure had a few sleeps lol but she passed away. i know for a act the grave had been moved 3 times in the 18 years that i lived in the area i honestly dont know what has happened to the grave since i used to walk over to my fathers work place and night times terrified me just that house in general was one of the original houses for the area an old queenslander the amount of times we had unexplainable things occur and out side was really creepy with the old gums always felt like you wernt alone. but growing up used to drive mum and dad crazy apparently i was a mischievious child but i had a friend named shannon i often wonder if i did have a little friend that only i could see
