My Haunted Apartment

Posted on May 28, 2008

My name is Jessica, I’ve already submitted one story on here called ghost tales in my family. But I’m afraid that’s not where my encounters stop! As I mentioned before I now reside in an apartment with my boyfriend of two years. We have been living here for about a month. Already I hate being home alone while Ryan is at work. I dread each time he has to leave.

I am home by myself now and I can hear the walls. I know that sounds strange, but what I mean is I can hear someone, or something, banging on the wall that separates my bedroom and the living room.

When you first walk in my apartment you can see the living room and a hallway. Well, the wall between them leads to Ryan’s and my bedroom. And for two days now, I hear banging on that wall. Not on the bedroom wall that connects my apartment to another. And not on the living room wall that connects to another apartment.

Well, before Ryan had got home last night, I took two sleeping pills due to the fact I cannot sleep. I cannot rest. I must be alert all the time. Well, his mom has been staying with us for a few days, and I thought I can finally get some rest because she wont be sleeping and she can be alert for me. So I took the pills.

When Ryan got home around 11:30 from work, he woke me up to say hey. I had been sleeping for about five and half hours. Ryan heard the bang on the wall and he said, what was that? Also keep in mind that this all happened just yesterday [mothers day]. I jokingly said, “oh, its our ghost!” And he came up with an idea that he’d knock on the wall and if it knocked back, its a ghost. So he knocked and he knocked again, and not even five seconds after the second knock, “IT” knocked back and imitated Ryan’s same knock. Ryan gasped and said he was officially creeped out.

I calledthe landlord this morning because in the hallway there is a bathroom and there has been water coming up directly out of the tile. So I looked in the bathroom, and we have two rugs in the bathroom, and neither of them were wet. Because I was thinking logically, maybe the toilet or sink or even tub is leaking. There was not a wet spot in that bathroom. So I called the landlord over, and he checked it out and told me that he’d get a plumber over here. Well as soon as he left, the water stopped, and the floor is no longer wet. He even checked the air conditioner to see if it was leaking. Keep in mind, there are no air vents in the hallway.

Its 2:35 pm, and so much has already happened today, not only the banging on the walls, and the mysterious water on the floor. I have for the first time in a long time seemed to misplace so much. Like two days ago, I misplaced my cell phone. I never did that in my life. My cell is always attached to me. I have NEVER LOST IT. So two days ago, I was looking for my phone all over. I had left it by the computer in my room. I know I did. Well, I kinda gave up my search for my lost phone and when I went to make dinner, I found my phone in a cabinet drawer in the kitchen where I keep the recipes. And the phone just so happened to be on the one recipe that I was making that night. I cant understand this one.

The lady that used to live in my apartment now lives two doors down. And every apartment on the side where I live, from 300 to 310, are all the same size. I live in 302 and this lady lives in 305. What I cant seem to understand is, why move from this apartment just to move in one two doors down, which are the same size. I want to get enough courage to ask her why. But until next time, thanks for your time.

Do you think my apartment is haunted? All of this happened in five days time.

Hi Jessica. I believe ur place is haunted and active. try and speak to the lady that used to live there maube she can shed some light on the matter and give u some information. Also, try and read chapters from religious books like the Kuran or the Bible. Spirits usually fear words that are known to come from God.
I wish u all the ebst and i hope u get rid of this “IT” so u can get some rest.

    Regrads

    Hello Jessica,
I am director of a paranormal research group in Michigan. I definitely agree with joe that your place is most likely haunted. However I am not sure that I agree with his idea of scaring the ghost or “it”. If you really want to get rid of “it”, get as much information as possible. Getting rid of a spirit is usually extremely simple. You want to be careful when bringing religion into removal. If “it” has any demonic powers it could only get worse if you dont do a full fledged exorcism. Research “Demonology” to learn more about that. Also, it could just be a water pipe making the knocking, I see it all the time. That same pipe could cause the random water also. These are just thoughts. If I were you I would talk to the former tenant of that apt, and even have a local ghost hunters group do an investigation and see what they get. I’d be glad to help you with any other questions. my email is [email protected] or you can get more information at http://www.scalpfilms.com/esprit.aspx

    Good Luck,
    Andy

This might sound crazy, but do you live in Queens? My sisters had an apartment (302 actually) and many of the same things happened. Water filling up kitchen drawers, knockings and foot step sounds. Things would disappear and show up later in the trash can. Just wondering if its the same apartment

i do think ur apartment is haunted, becus if it was the water pipe that was making the noises then why did it knock bk the same thing when ur boyfriend knocked the wall? And why did ur cell just appeared in the kitchen cabinet?! I wouldnt be surprised if the lady who moved 2 apartments rooms away said stuff happened there

  5. Amber says:

I think you should change your apartment as fast as possible cuss this cases seems now fine, but later on its all freaks out.if you want to stay so you should start praying or keep something religious in each rooms, That Will Help For Sure!

    Definitely!
    I agree with Joseph.
Recite the Quran. If you need help you can ask me. I can direct you to certain passages that will be of help to you. There are 2 passages in the Quran that are specifically for protection from the supernatural.
