Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

We were a big family. There were myself and my five sisters and one brother. We were not rich. My father worked at a VA hospital, and my mom was a house wife. We moved to a large home and I all shared bedrooms 2 by 2. When we moved in we were happy it even came with a twin bed in every room. Me and my sister got the back bed room. Down the hallway and the end of the hallway was the bathroom.

Right away our room was always cold. One day my mom was washing clothes and she said to me, Caren I don’t have your clothes so I went to get my clothes. As I was going down the stairs I had gotten to the second landing and I noticed I had been dropping my socks and other clothing. So I was picking my clothes working backward. I got to the third step from the top landing as I was picking up my clothes. An apparition walked right past me. It came from the hallway and it walked right passed me. I could see it was a man with a beard, and I could see right through him.

I ran down the steps and told my mom what I had seen. She refused to listen… but that was just the beginning. You see this house use to be a church. As days went by and time we would not go to the bathroom by our selves we either went 2 by 2 or not at all.

We had a dog he was always barking toward the house. When we would let him in at times he would rush pass us and run up the stairs his ears were back and he would bear his teeth. He would run to every bedroom up stairs growling.

When we would go to the bathroom it felt like something or someone was about to grab you from one of the rooms so we would sprint to the bathroom. Our bathroom downstairs was never fixed.

As time went on my mom and dad would argue and then my father would drink liquor. The fights were surreal. They fought each other every week and the police became a usual sight. One final day of the fight blood was spilled. My mom and dad stabbed each other they were not recognizable to us. One time my mom tried to catch house on fire as we looked from the street. The house would not burn. As my father sat in a chair upstairs drinking and taunting her to do it.

One day I had lost a tooth and I went upstairs to see if the tooth fairy had came, I ran to my room only to see… it looked like a baby, like a cloud with a shape of a baby it turned and looked at me. It looked like it was smiling. And my dog was barking like crazy. It floated out the window between the twin beds. I thought it was the tooth fairy. I ran to my pillow and there was a dime.

I ran downstairs to my mom and told her what I had seen. Again she was upset with me. This was an evil house. We always had to close the the attic door which was across from my bedroom.

This last fight caused my mom and dad to almost kill each other. After they were released from different hospitals we moved and my mom and dad separated. He didn’t keep the house and my mom bought a smaller house and we never went back. Our house was very cold all the time, even in the summertime. They tore the house down and we were happy!
