My Brother And Death’s Visit

Posted on October 18, 2008

The following story is not something that happened to me but rather a story that was told to me by my father, R.I.P. he passed away last year.

When he was younger, he and my mom used to live in a town called Piedras Negras, in Coahuila Mexico. They lived in a house that was built sometime in the 1800s. It was a towering concrete structure that was a 2 story house, although I really do not know how tall the rooms were. If it was not for the windows I would swear it was a 4 story home. In fact it is still standing there today.

The house belonged to this wealthy man that was the owner of a supermarket, in fact he owned the whole side of that street. His store sat at one end, followed by the warehouses where he kept all the stock for the store and then was the house.

When they lived there my dad used to work for the railroad in Mexico. Back then they used to send him out on the train all over the country to deliver train cars, (wagons or whatever they are called), full of goods from rice to scrap metal or other things they used to transport. He would go in the train kind of like security to make sure the material arrived intact.

Anyway, one time when he was away one of my brothers, he was about 15 at the time, was accidentally bumped in the nose by another kid and had to take to the hospital. Well after a while he started running a high fever and the doctor told my mom he had meningitis. I don’t know what that is but I think his broken nose developed a strong infection close to his brain and that is why he got the fever.

My dad had been out on one of his trips and did not know yet. When he returned it was late at night and he used to walk from the train station to the house. As he was walking towards the house on the same side of the sidewalk where the house was, coming from the side of the supermarket, he saw a lady all dressed in black that was standing in front of the house. As he got closer she turned the other way and started walking, this was about 3 or 4 am. He called to her asking if she needed anything. Just as she turned the corner my dad was about 5 steps behind her. As he got to the corner and turned there was no one in sight.

He stood there for a minute and then headed back to the house and at that time the night watchman for the warehouses came and met him. He asked if all was alright and my father explained what had happened. The watchman proceeded to tell him that he had also seen the lady before. That she had visited the house around the same time for the last 2 or 3 days in a row.

Then he said that the strangest thing about her coming in and out of the house was that she never opened the gate to get in or out. Our house had an iron gate that you needed to go thru in order to get to the front door and. The watchman said she just floated straight through.

Well the next day my dad found out about my brother. After a few more days in the hospital he was pronounced brain dead and passed away soon. It is pretty obvious to me who that lady in black was; it was Death coming to pick up my brother.

There was a lot of supernatural occurrences that went on in this house. If I have time I’ll submit some other stories. Thanks for listening.

That actually seems very convincly true, maybe shes the person that brings you where ever you go when you die, or what not. Seems logical enough.

  12. Ryan says:

I agree with Bianca, when my mother passed away she saw my father standing at the foot of her bed a few days before she died smiling, he passed away a few years before also I heard a lady who had just lost her mother make the comment to the affect that her mother too saw past reletives in her room as death neared. She knew nothing of my mothers experience she had heard stories from her family members who beleaved it to be the Angle of Death. I was with Mother when she died, we stood around her and prayed giving thanks for her in our lives and then for the Lord to take her and when she did die it was felt.Their was three in the room when we started to pray and as we finished the prayor their was only two, just as if in a bedroom that was unlit someone got up and went in to an other room you knew that the room had one less person in it.
    I’m sorry about your brother.
