When I was little, my mom decided she wanted to have another child. I was about 3 years old. My mom got pregnant but when my little sister Katie was born she was very sick and later passed away a month and a half later. So my mom decided that she wanted to try one more time to have a child so that I wasn’t alone. Then when I was 5, my little sister Ashley was born.
We were living in a green house on the corner of our busy street. Her baby room was pink, but instead my mom wanted me to have it. My sister Ashley was about a few months old. One morning my mom woke me up, again I was only 5, and she said “Brittny, why are there finger prints on your walls?” These finger prints were like prints that you would see when streaking a window. I told her that I didn’t know, and I really didn’t. They were all over the room. We never found out what made that happen, so then a few months later she painted the room a light blue color and it never happened again. We always thought it was my little sister Katie because they were little hand prints.
When I was little I guess my mom said that when she was down stairs and I was up stairs sleeping, she thought that I would be running around up stairs when I should’ve been sleeping. Then she told my dad to go check on me and I was sound asleep. And my mom told me that I used to have an imaginary friend named “Katie”. When we would be watching TV in the living room we would hear toys go off in the play room when no one was in there. Again this was all happening at the green house.
Then we finally moved out when I was about 13. My little sister Ashley was 8. Something happened and a big tree fell in our old back yard (The green House) and the house was technically still my moms so she had to take pictures. When she got them developed she noticed that in my old room (with the finger prints) the curtains were moved like someone was holding them. Then in another picture it was perfectly fine.
These are strange happenings but we always thought that it was my little sister Katie. RIP Little Sister Katie Jean.
