Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Over the years I have seen and heard things from the paranormal realm… I watch Ghost Hunters and Paranormal State to learn more about everything paranormal. Since my husband has started to open his mind to the paranormal he has had just as many if not more experiences than I have. I want to share a few with you.

I think the first time he really became a full fledged believer was in our first house. It was very old (made in the early 1900′s). I had had a bad experience with the sensation of something lying on top of me in bed and me not being able to move – very scary… I told him about this and after he made sure I was all right said he hoped it never happened to me again. A few weeks later he had the very same thing happen to him! Scared him badly! That’s when he finally admitted there was more to the paranormal realm than unexplained knocks and bangs…

When my beloved Aunt Nellie passed away we had made plans to drive to Ohio (from Minnesota) for the funeral. The night before we were to leave, my husband got off work earlier than usual so he could get some sleep before we headed out. It was about 11:00 when he came home, I was already in bed and the house was dark and quiet. He is always very quiet when he comes into our bedroom and that night was no exception. He went toward his dresser to get clean pajama’s as he planned to shower before coming to bed. He actually thought he saw me at the foot of the bed (he thought I was getting up to use the bathroom) so he put his hand out so he wouldn’t startle me. His hand went through what he thought was me! He looked at the bed and I was sound asleep! Was that my beloved Aunt Nellie looking over me? It startled him badly….

We lived in an apartment that was once a large family mansion. The woodwork was lovely and you just knew this old place was going to be ripe with spiritual activity and it didn’t disappoint! From our bathroom there is a door with a staircase down to the basement where the washer and dryer is. One evening my husband was getting ready to take a load of laundry downstairs. He unlocked the door leading to the basement and there is the doorway was a white apparition as tall as he is (he’s 6’2″)! he blinked in surprise and it had vanished!

Once you really open up your mind to the reality of the paranormal you never know what you’re going to find!
