Imaginary Friend or Gaurdian Angel?

Posted on March 5, 2010

About ten years ago, my daughter had an “imaginary friend” named Thomas. But after a while, we started getting scratches in rows of four on our backs, everyone, even my dog. This happened at night. Slowly the scratches stopped, but we kept hearing voices  and we came home once, finding the dog locked in the oven. Fortunately it wasn’t turned on.

Being a fan of ghost stories, I decided to give a test. My daughter was seven now and was afraid just to fall asleep. I sat down when I was alone, and began my test. I put the recorder on the floor, and asked if there were any spirits here, and If there was for them to give a knock. Still calm, as it could have been a coincidence, I began asking questions. I said for it to give one knock for no, and two for yes. I asked it the simple questions, such as are there more spirits in the house, etc. These are the results I got: More spirits? Yes. Are you trapped here? No. Are you the one who has been harming us? No.

I decided to ask it some harder questions. I asked how many spirits were in the house including you, and told it to give a single knock for each spirit. 1, 2, and then a third knock. I then put some of my daughters blocks down, told it to spell it’s name, then left the room for a moment. I came back in, and the blocks had formed the word Thomas. I was stunned, but I still had to know some more things.

I asked the name of the ghost who is harming us, left and came back. It said James. I left for a moment, startled. I came back and asked who the other spirit was. When I returned, the blocks said Lindsay. I then asked why James was doing this to my daughter. Came back and the blocks said: evil. I asked why Lindsay was here, and the answer said Rest. And I asked why Thomas was here. The answer was Safe.

I couldn’t fall asleep, so I went to the library and researched my home. Lindsay was James’ daughter, and had died In 1969 when her father threw her down the stairs. Thomas died here when investigating her death and James shot him with a shotgun. James hung himself in what is now my daughters room. All three spirits still roam my house today.

My daughter is now 16 (the same age as Lindsay was when she died) and things stirred up again. My dog died because of four long scratches on its stomach, and I continue to believe James did that. The name Thomas appears in some way just before something good happens. And I actually see a girl standing at the bottom of the stairs when I glance down the basement. My daughter believes Thomas is a guardian angel, and I don’t doubt it for a second.
