I Heard a Voice Say “God”

Posted on July 2, 2011

I’m sensitive and have been since around June of last year. I have had a handful of paranormal experiences in the past year.

The latest experience was yesterday, July 4. I woke up around 8:30 a.m. and it was already around 85 degrees outside. I have to work from 12-5 every Sunday (yesterday included). I decided to lay-out on the deck and work on my tan before going to work. My husband and son left to go to the grocery store. My daughter was playing on the front porch blowing bubbles. I was laying out on the deck with the woods to my left and house to my right. I’m laying on my stomach facing towards the house listening to the bugs and bird when I hear clearly in my ear a mans voice say “God”. The voice was of a man maybe in his late 20s to mid 30s. It was not a voice I had heard before. Of course, I popped my head up and starting looking around. No one. No one was in my yard. My husband was still gone and my daughter was still on the porch… blowing bubbles.

I sat up trying to comprehend what I just heard. I clearly heard a mans voice say “God”. The voice had almost an echo/whisper to it. Still there is no one in the yard, my neighbor in front of the house was not home (they went to their summer home for the 4th of July) and my neighbor on the other side of the woods was not home (a lady who lives alone and I haven’t seen a man at her home since she moved in).

Getting to the point, I cannot explain why I would hear a voice when no one was around. I decided to go back to the house but before leaving the deck I said aloud “I heard you. I just want you to know that I can hear you.” My husband came home shortly after that but I didn’t tell him about it. He doesn’t believe in the paranormal.

The truth is: I know what I heard. What it means and who said it is a mystery to me.

today is only the 2 of july 2011. So how could this have happened yesturday july 4 2011?

  2. Ismellbullcrap says:

Where do you live? It’s only July 2nd where I live. You said that this took place yesterday,on the 4th.So,does that mean it’s the 5th,where you live?I don’t think that is even possible. Not doubting your story.I’m just saying.

  3. Caretaker says:

As is often the case, whenever you see something like this (the confusion over the date), there is generally a good explanation. In this story the explanation is simple. The writer is talking about 2010 not 2011. I just looked at the original submission and that is in fact what happened here.

    Hi Abnormal

    Firstly, your not abnormal.

Your opening statement: “Im sensitive and have been since around June of last year. I have had a handful of paranormal experiences in the past year.”

Ok – do you believe in God? More importantly, do you know how to protect yourself against negative supernatural elements?

I think this voice most probably a warning that, unless you learn how to protect yourself, you may find yourself in rather sticky situations which you do not know how to resolve.

What happened in June of last year that started you on this road? This may be a clue as to why you received this message.

What are the paranormal experiences you’ve had since then? Again, this might give a clue as to why you received the message.

Wow that was a confusion to me to and still is. She sayed SINCE LAST YEAR JULY FOR THE PAST YEAR AND THE LAST ONE WAS YESTERDAY???? How could it be the last one if it started july 2010 and went on for a year and you say that she is refering to last year 2010. It really doesnt make eney sence
Maby the writers sould write in the correct way with full dates.

    • Caretaker says:

OK I will try to make it more clear. This is an old story that we received last year. The writer is talking about 2010.

      • BekkieLassy says:

Oky that makes sence. Why didn’t you say so in the first place.

        • Caretaker says:

I did but maybe you missed it – I wrote “The writer is talking about 2010 not 2011. I just looked at the original submission and that is in fact what happened here.”

  6. manss says:

Hi Abnormal , aside from happening time , what is your feeling about? you guess may who had been he?you think had that voice been a mentally and unreality voice or reality ?

  7. Buddy says:

Talk about confusion, I had some similar encounters myself, but in your case the voice you heard talked in English, in mine is a bit different. Mine happened late last year 2010, I woke up early in the morning with a somewhat unfamiliar tune in my head, and then I suddenly hard a voice saying “Praise only he who’s name is Elohim”, it was as clear as bell but there was nobody around except me, and it’s not definitely from any radio. The weird thing is that long after that event I never got that phrase out of my head, and certainly I never hear of this word “Elohim” if that was a name. I looked it up and found out that it was actually an ancient Hebrew word meaning “Gods”, looking into it a bit further, in the bible, there is also an instance where God was called ‘Elohim’, talk about weird, huh…

  8. Janna says:

First off- had been a big fan of this site. This story is old, I’ve read it in the archives. Why is it reprinted again? Also, why does the Caretaker get snooty when people question certain stories(I’ve noticed a pattern)? I think a lot of the Jew stories Re retarded crap people make yp and it really does stink for people such as myself who truly believe in the paranormal and are looking for guidance, answers, and fellow onlookers. Just my opinion. Sorry if it sounds rude, but its my opinion.

    • Caretaker says:

I do NOT get snooty when people question any of the stories. I do get a little bit irate when people insult others and use profanity but I have NEVER gotten upset in the least with anyone who asks questions. The “pattern” you noticed was in your own imagination :o )

And what do you mean by “Jew” stories?

  9. Janna says:

Wow wow wow- the JEW STORIES- I never said a thing about sweetness, so don’t try to start anything up with that, that must have been a typo on my part. The pattern that is in my “imagination” I’m speaking of, is that in several of the comments in several of the stories posted(for where I do not and will not take the time to troll through on here) is just that maybe certain ways that you comment; may come off as a bit abrasive. As for you stating that ypu may become a little irate at some of the comments; this might explain. I truly wonder also if you are some of the other commenting such as “TrollDoll,” because I have been reading your site for a couple of years now(pretty religiously I might add.) I am merely asking you questions, and stating my opinion, a the while not cussing or putting down anyone(including you CareTaker. Flr you tp come at me with this “Jew story” thing- is merely quite “high school” of you, and just shows me you are an adolescent running the website. Oh btw- referencing you to others, ie. Bane listed above: its because you have comments on stories as CareTaker and forgot to log out as “TD” (name listed above) you’ve done it at least twice, in stories in the archives. Sorry. I’m still WINNING! (Charlie Sheen quote- don’t get the panties in too much of a Wad! Xoxo) Jew is New- how hard is that to decode from what I was trying to say? Have a nice day.

    • Caretaker says:

You wrote “the Jew stories Re retarded crap ” exact words. So how am I starting anything? How am I coming at you? I have no idea what you mean by “Jew stories” so I ask and you call that “highschool”? Makes no sense to me. Just because someone questions your comment you automatically judge them to be “an adolescent running the website” that IS so funny! Unfortunately I am much older than that. :)

I have NEVER commented as anyone other than myself. Winning? How are you winning? TrollDoll will surely get a good laugh whenever she reads your comment I am sure. I dont mean any offense to you at all, I really don’t, but you are way off the mark.

When I feel like commenting on a story or a comment I speak my mind. When I have a question I ask it. I do not intentionally go to offend or insult anyone. I am a blunt and forward type of person.

  10. Janna says:

I do enjoy the majority of the 2550 stories that are on here CareTaker. I come here to read them as one of my favorite past times. I just don’t like it when true believers such as myself, see outrageous stories that are full of false information(that the writer will not notice when writing- such as contradicted dates and times, years, names, places, etc. When om reading. That’s all. That was my point. I apologize if that was not clarified in above comments.

  11. Texture says:

I think this story is awesome and real. Personally, I have heard Jesus say my name or do something to try to catch my attention. When I hear Him call my name, it is immediate and shocking. I have to stop and say, “Yes, Lord?”
So, I believe you when you say that He spoke to you in a kind of introduction and I am happy to read that you (the writer) replied. Many people don’t. They simply ignore it and go on about their day. Those that take the time to say, “Yes, I know who You are and I just want you to know that I hear You,” are blessed beyond belief.
I hope He continues to speak to you and I hope you contiune to speak back to HIm.

  12. Janna says:

I believe this story as well. Read it a while ago and believed it from the time I read it. I don’t think someone can make this up.

  13. Janna says:

Dude- winning was a joke as I stated. I don’t want to argue with u, for this is your website, and I do enjoy reading the stories(nightly), and I will jst let this go. I have read a good bit of your personal stories and believe all of them. The “retarded crap” comment was nt aimed at u whatsoever. So let’s just move on. I especially like ypur story about how you and your family moved into the house of the man who lets you move into the home and pay rent by doing odd jobs. Very interesting.
