Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I have lived in my house all my life and not once have I ever encountered something ghostly. At least not until a few years ago.

Every night, about 10pm and everyone is in bed, I can hear someone in my kitchen. It sounds like they have a glass in their hand, then when finished drinking they slam the glass back down, making a noise.

After a few nights, I would listen to it, waiting for my parents to walk past my bedroom door to theirs. Of course, I don’t hear them. After about 2 months, I ask if they were in the kitchen after I went to bed at anytime. And of course they were confused. I said I heard noises in there, and they thought I was only imagining it. So one night, I recorded it. The next morning, it has completely disappeared off my phone.

It’s been about 3 years now, and it hasn’t hurt anyone, so I’m sure it’s not evil. It has hurt me inside, as I always try to sleep before 10pm. I can’t, and when it starts, I can’t wait for it to stop. It terrifies me. It still does it. I hear footsteps, and no one is there.

Things disappear in my house, then show up all of a sudden. My parents now believe me. My mum just says it’s probably just a young kid looking for mischief.
