Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

We have always had some sort of paranormal happening in the house and mum said that provided it won’t harm or upset anyone them it is welcome to stay. We sometimes talk to it so it knows we know its there and I often pick up on it more when I’m alone. I hate being alone.

One day my parents were out and my brothers and sister were either out with mum or at my nans, I was watching a DVD with one of my guinea pigs on my lap so I had some company. Minxy (the guinea pig, also known as Smuge) was squeaking softly and cooing, I was talking to her and telling her how much I loved her. Suddenly the room went cold and Minxy stopped talking. I knew she could sense something. I looked up at the door where she was looking. She hid under me shirt.

I couldn’t see anything but I could easily tell she was upset about it. I said out loud, “leave us alone, me and Minxy don’t want you here right now, you are scaring her, please leave and feel free to come back when mum and dad come home.” The the room temperature went back to it’s normal state and Minxy came out and ran up onto my shoulder, she does that when she’s scared, nervous or just wants to be close. She was passing a message of love, I could sense it. I told her it’s ok to be scared and thanked her for helping.

I think the spirit is a long lost family member. I have heard my name. My brothers claim to hear their names. We’ve even heard “mum” being called from upstairs when no one is up there.
