In roughly 2006 or 2007, my family went to Doolin, Co. Clare for a week long stay in a two story house. We traveled 3 hours to get there, and we were all tired so we had a quick dinner, chilled out for a while and all went to bed. I was exhausted after being stuck in a car pretty much all day, so I fell asleep quickly.
In the middle of the night, I awoke and to my shock saw a woman standing in the window, looking out. She had her back to me and was transparent, wearing an old fashioned dress that was white. I sat there for the next few minutes, paralyzed with fear. I eventually summed up the courage to run out of bed and through the door into the hallway. I had a terrible night, and slept late the next morning. I told everyone at breakfast and they all believed me, because there have been many paranormal occurrences in my family history.
I didn’t see the lady again, but felt her presence very strongly whenever I went back into the room. I have since then become a full believer in ghosts and the spirit world. Over time, I have thought about it and can only come to the conclusion that the former owner of the house died and came back to pay a visit.

Oakwell Hall
This year, while touring the UK for the summer holidays, I went to visit a place in Yorkshire named Oakwell Hall and had been told there had been ghosts seen in broad daylight. It was also once a home of the Bronte sisters.
I went into the smoking room and said aloud: “If you are here with me, use your energy to close this door (it was wide open)”. To my horror, the door slowly began to swing shut and at the same time, it became very cold and I smelled cigar smoke. At that point, I freaked out and walked quietly but quickly out of there.
I am still thinking about this one and want to know what everyone else thinks.
