Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Well let me start by saying that I always loved everything to do with the paranormal, however I was always scared of the dark because I would never want to see anything. My parents would always tell my that its not true, so I grew up and never believed it, kinda like I need to see it to believe it.

Anyway me and my girlfriend decided to move to Quebec Canada. She is originally from there, she said that we could live at her parent’s house were she grew up ’til we get on our feet and find jobs, so we did. We moved.

Let me explain. This house is about 130 years old very nice house kinda old Victorian style house. Anyway she never told me about the things going on in her house but one night at supper with her mother and grandmother they started talking about a lot of things happening and I was like this cannot be true.

We lived there about 2 months and I’ve only felt little things and never anything bad or evil. The first time I was in the bedroom getting ready to go out when I hear a knock on the wall (from the other bedroom) so I thought it was her nephew who is 5. I thought he probably got up and was playing around so I knocked back then 3 more times it knocked. The last time it did it was way too loud for it to be a 5 year old so I went in the other room and he wasn’t even there. I ran downstairs to see were he was, turns out he couldn’t sleep because his door kept opening and closing, so they put him on the couch. And I kinda thought I just imagined it or something. (let me add when things happen like that you don’t automatically say it’s paranormal, you have an explanation and when the reasoning doesn’t make sense that’s when you start to believe) I don’t know I was a skeptical so I just found a reason for it to not be true.

A few weeks after that I’m eating a toast at breakfast at the table when the rocking chair starts to move. I look at my girlfriend and I ask if my cats are in the basement (because maybe they could have been on the chair), and she was like yeah why? And I said because the chair is moving. She laughed and I got up, stopped it, sat back down, and go figure it started again.

The time where it freaked me out the most was when we were moving about an hour away from her parents place. Her dad and her mom went with her to move our stuff. I stayed back in the house alone to clean our room when I heard footsteps upstairs. I thought it was them so I texted her saying your’re here? She texted right back… euh no… I went upstairs right away and there was nothing and the door was locked. There was no one and like I know the sounds of the house because I was there for 2 months. This was footsteps, there was someone there.

A lot of other stuff like again I’m making a puzzle with her 5 year old nephew and he looks behind me and says, “why is that man looking at me?” I look, no ones there and being a 5 year old he’s not scared, he just keeps asking me why is he there.

Another time we’re at the table in the kitchen and her mom says that the spare bedroom door always opens. She closes it at night but she hears it open in the middle of the night. I was like well if I go check it now is it going to be open? She’s like I closed it when I came down 15 minutes ago. I went and checked and as I was walking up the steps I hear the door open. Now let me tell you when you close the door it closes, because I tried it and there’s no defect with the door.

My girlfriend says when she was young she would always try to sleep and there would be a little kid in her room playing with her toys making noise and her mom would come in the room and be mad saying she has to sleep and she would say I’m trying to but he keeps me up.

Maybe this doesn’t sound like much but I’m sitting here now in the house and I’m not scared. Never for a moment that I would think anything evil is here. Her mom got someone to come to the house to see what it was and the reader said that the ”thing” said “I’m not a man or a woman I come to you as a child to protect.”

Her mom said to me once she sees a child and a man. I have so many other little stories that happened to her mom and dad but I will leave it at that.
