I was about 10 years old when this happened im 14 years old now. I was at my aunt’s ranch in Huntington, West Virginia. Me, my brother and our cousins decided to go horseback riding. We went on a trail that was supposedly haunted. As we got to the beginning of the trail fog started appearing and it was a perfectly clear day. My brother and cousins got scared and didn’t want to ride on the trail.
I took the horse onto the trail which was surrounded by woods and tombstones. i kept hearing hoof beats behind me that were not my horses. I turned around and saw four what appeared to be confederate soldiers. One of them called my name then i started freaking out. I rode the horse at an increasingly fast gallop they were keeping up with me so i veered the horse off the trail to try to ditch them.
Another one caught me by my arm. He jerked me off the horse and i went flying across the trail and ended up dislocating my shoulder. They were off their horses now staring at me with red eyes. I whistled for my horse to come back to me. As soon as i got on the horse i decided it was time to get off the trail. My horse was galloping as fast as he could go while i was holding on with the part of me that wasn’t dislocated. They were following me until i got off the trail. i looked back and they disappeared.
I got back to my aunts house and ran to her crying my eyes out. She asked what happened. i told her that four confederate soldiers chased me off the trail and one of them threw me off my horse and i dislocated my shoulder. She showed me a family portrait and asked me if i recognized anyone. I pointed to one of the people in the portrait. She told me that he was my uncle Jeb but i never met him because he died when i was 1 year old.
Was this a message from the grave from my uncle?

So…your uncle Jeb died when you were 1, yet he was a confederate soldier in the civil war? What am i missing in this story?
@Stan. I’m thinking this story is either a fake, or the person is very confused. I don’t know of many four year olds that go off on their own when horseback riding…come to think of it, I don’t know any four year olds that go horseback riding at all. None of this makes any sense…
He said he was 10…not 4. ….There are lottsa kids that ride horses at 4 years of age…I for one, have done so myself : ) , my daughter and son had also . (Just sayin’) . As far as the rest of the story goes tho, I’m thinkin’ that maybe Miss Mary got thrown off her horse a few too many times and landed on her noggin. : )
A confederate soldier was in 1850s so you must be very old. or do not have the dates correct. These soldier were evil that is why their eyes were red. My family were also confederate soldiers but that was over 100 years ago. I believe you did see the Confederate soldiers. I know one threw you off your horse. Because demons can hurt us.
I would not go horse back riding alone in that area again.
I wish people would quit making up stories on here. It ruins the credibility for everyone when a few want to play games. This story makes no sense, besides the obvious I’ve never seen anyone get on a horse with a dislocated shoulder.
