with Simply Ghost Nights – 26th Mar 2011
We must firstly thank Lesley, Martha, Pearl, and Pamela the staff at Armley Mills for being such tremendous hosts and for making the night so pleasurable. But also the spectral inhabitants of Armley Mills made the night so pleasurable too.
What a night, oh what a night of paranormal activity we were treated to from the spirit world. They were certainly not ‘milling’ about, or slow in ‘cotton’ in on, on how to entertain all our three lovely groups of brave ghost hunters.
You would have to have had the ‘wool’ pulled over your eyes to give this place a miss, the spirits must have been waiting for us as they were quick into their stride to communicate with our requests of ghostly interaction. In the group vigil inexplicable lights were noticed by some ghost hunters, and four ghost hunters noticed what looked like a material body through the glass section of the door. However on further examination there was no one to be seen, in the area whatsoever.

In the learning centre a torch was placed on the table, and when asking the spirits to turn the torch on they duly obliged not only once but a staggering three times, to the amazement of the all group.
In one group the glass moved so quickly in a glass divination experiment that it actually flew off the table and smashed onto the floor, to the amazement of Steve, Jo and Michelle. In another vigil, Sam, Jez, and Daryl were so excited when the glass began to move on their maiden ghost hunt, this was especially interesting to Daryl, as he was a major skeptic of the whole paranormal world, at the end of the night Daryl did express that his view had now changed and the night had given him something to think about, this same sentiment was echoed by Brian too, who claimed at the start of the night to be the biggest skeptic in the world.
Many groups experienced table tipping on request and Brian and Margaret were speechless when the table literally tipped into their laps. On separate occasions two groups reported unexplained growling or groaning in the cottages, Bev and Alison stated that it was a definite growl that they had heard. Also when calling out in the cottage area, the word ‘yes’ was clearly heard from the empty adjoining room, on inspection there was not a living soul around. Also in the cottages the wardrobe door opened all by itself, after it had been firmly shut prior to the vigil commencing.
In the main hall both Simon and Sam both witnessed the human form again through the glass window of the door, had the spirit returned from earlier to watch over the proceedings from a far. K2 spikes were also frequently observed by our ghost hunters in many of the vigils, and the spikes also occurred on request too.
Michelle also commented that this event had been the best one she had gone to, after using many other companies she considered Simply Ghost Nights, the most professional and friendly she had used, and she also stated that she could not wait for her next ghost hunt.
