Ghost Girl By The Lake

Posted on June 14, 2008

This incident happened to me last summer,me and my cousins went to my uncle’s ranch in Tuguegarao. When we arrived, me and my cousin Maj, were surprised to see lots of cows and horses all around so we decided to go hiking (our parents didn’t come with us because they were hooked up with problems so they just let us kids go to the farm).

While walking we came across a lake. It was so beautiful and clear, when I saw something moving underneath. It was like a white dress floating at the depths of the lake, so I told one of my cousins, Louie, but she didn’t believe me and said that maybe I was hallucinating and stuff, so I just ignored the fact and moved on ahead of them but the thing that was bothering me was where did that white dress came from? and why was it floating there?

Then when we came back it was sunset that time then after seconds it became dark, so when all of us were inside Caane’s van, it wouldn’t start so he instructed us to go outside while he was trying to start the van. A few minutes later he gave up and decided to spend the night there (well there were 11 of us including my big brother so that makes us 12.

Then Aj, my cousin, called his parents and said that the van isn’t working and that we’ll be spending the night at my uncle’s ranch. His parents said to tell all of us to be careful and said their goodbyes.

Two hours later, after dinner, me and my cousins were sitting in front of a bonfire telling embarrassing stories of our life in school. I got so bored that I even asked permission to explore the woods on my own. They said not to because it is dangerous to go hiking in the woods on my own. They hesitated at first but soon accepted it and they let me borrow my uncle’s horse in case if I was chased by something. Then my brother handed me his flashlight and said to be careful.

Afterwards I made my horse run to the woods, minutes had passed when I heard something, like a girl’s voice, it was signing, so I followed it and it led me to the lake where I saw the white dress floating. I got down off my horse and took a peak at the lake when I saw something like blood. After seeing this I got back up on my horse and started running.

Minutes had passed and I still hadn’t reached my uncle’s farm. Then suddenly I heard a girl’s voice, a singing one. When I looked behind me, what I saw made me stop breathing, a girl of teenage age was sitting behind me. She smiled and disappeared. Then when I looked forward I could see some of my cousins outside my uncle’s ranch worrying about me.

After I arrived they saw that I was pale and they said what happened? I tried to speak but no words came out. It even took me two days before I recovered. Then at the third day I said to all of them what happened to me from the ranch. My uncle, who owns the ranch, said that years ago a Spanish family owned that land and that they had a daughter who was engaged to her father’s friend’s son, but she didn’t love him, she loved the boy that was working for her family. Then one night, after her fiancé discovered it, he chased her to the woods and killed her by drowning her in the lake – that same spot where I saw the floating white dress.

After this we came back to my uncle’s ranch, then I went back to the lake. I placed a bouquet of roses in the water leaving it half floating, half sinking. Then I said my prayers and bade her farewell and hoped that she and the boy she loves were happy and peaceful in heaven.

Well, I guess no one wants to tackle this question. I confess I’ve always been a nonbeliever when it comes to the paranormal. I have a hard time believing it’s anything but electrical issues…but I still get the creeps every time I walk past this room.

    To thee goddess
Not to make light of your circumstances, it might be nothing, hermana. Start a hobby to get your mind off these odd occurances. Personally i dont stress over it until i actually see things flying around that i start to freak out.

    Library Goddess,
I think you came through as Anonymous, there. It’s possible that it could be something electrical, but it could possibly be something else, if you are up to hearing it.( I am guessing that you are or you would not be on this site! ;) ) It could either be an earthbound spirit or you are creating a Poltergeist Phanominon. I am assuming that you could possibly be close to the age of menopause. (Sorry, if that seems personal, I don’t know any other better way to describe this, and do correct me if I am wrong!) You see, it has been known that teenage girls and menopausal woman create this phenominon of telekinesis. Basically you are the one causing the lights to go on and off and so on. Telekinetic energy in women is very strong during the times of puberty and menopause. I can attest to this because things would inexplicably move when I was in my teens and I would usually get scared and say it was a ghost. Once, I made the record player I was listening to( and I mean record, not CD!!(giving away my age!) lift off the record in the middle. If you are the age I think(again being very presumptuous! sorry!) you know that a record player doesn’t lift off until the record is finished. Could have been a glitch in the machine, sure, or it could have been telekinetic! Just a few explanations for you and I hope I have not offended you with the age thing. I was just trying to explain my theory.
