Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I grew up in a small Texas town, when I moved out on my own I rented this huge farm house and I loved that it was 30 minutes from town with plenty of room so my kids could just run and be free with no worries. Growing up everybody knows everybody literally and the people I rented the house from came from the New York area. They had bought the house from the bank when the original owner had passed away it was a bitter battle between the mans family “children” and the new owners and in a small town you know everyone’s business before they do. I knew the circumstances the owners were going through and I didn’t think it was right what had happened, but the price was right and everything else.

There were three houses built on the property for the old mans children and they were all forced out by the new owners in an awful manner. The old man built the houses himself for his children to live there.

When we got moved in I could feel strange things in the house but just thought it came with being in the middle of nowhere and in an old farm house. My oldest daughter was a year old at the time and just learning how to talk I could always feel someone watching me from behind but I just blew it off. I expected a little paranormal with all the fighting between the owners and the family. The old man put his sweat and tears for his kids then for it to be torn away.

Anyway my daughter would always point in the corner above my head and say, “mommy who is that, who is that?” I look and no one is there of course. All my brothers had experiences in the house and one wont even talk about what he had witnessed to this day.

I was home alone with my baby asleep and I was cleaning doing laundry and I had my own bathroom that led to the laundry room and I was coming through the door and there he was, the old man that had passed, his ghostly face staring right back at me. It was frightening and clear as day. I could see every detail in his face, that’s how I know it was the old man when I saw him. I just started talking to him telling him that I didn’t hurt his family and  it wasn’t my fault I just rent the home and that’s all.

It was scary but I was never bothered by him again but he wasn’t the only ghostly figure in that house. There was an evil presence in that house as well. I ran when I saw him and haven’t been back since I can handle the old man and his wife but the dark one was enough for me.

The house is still there and the people that live in it now are the kids of the new owner and she has bad stuff happen to her all the time in that house but thinks people are breaking in to her house yea the ones you cant see I say and they aren’t going anywhere soon.
