Friendly Ghost Woman

Posted on March 28, 2008

A year ago some of my friends rented a five bedroom house in the oldest part of town. The house was built in the 1890′s, and has a very odd feeling and atmosphere to it. Just about everyone who has entered foot in the house said something about the weird ghostlyfeeling.

These were some of my very close friends so I was over at their house everyday. They had lived there for about three months when strange things started to occur.

One of the guys who lived there was washing dishes one day and had to go to the bathroom but left the water running. He came back to finish the dishes and it was shut off. Things got a little spookier after that.

One day another one of the guys who lived there said he was laying on his bed and was ready to fall asleep. He was drifting of (probably half awake half asleep) when all the sudden the light turned off. It woke him up fully so he went to go see if the bulb was out but it wasn’t. Something had flipped the switch.

About a week later at about 11 pm I was sitting on the couch in the living room watching TV when I glanced at the window and from the reflection I could see a shadow of a woman standing directly behind me. I quickly looked back but nothing was there. I then looked back at the reflection in the window and the shadow was gone. Since I knew there was some kind of supernatural being in the house that hadn’t harmed anyone, I wasn’t too scared about it.

Maybe three months after that I was down stairs cleaning up a little bit and had the music on and the lights on. I went back upstairs to get some cleaning spray. I came back down and the music and the lights were turned off. I guess she wants them to save some money for electricity and water.

So just a few days ago we finally saw her. Four of us were sitting down in the living room talking about girls, or something to that matter, when she walked right by us. If you sit in the living room and look to the left you can see the kitchen. And when you look straight you can see the a hallway leading to the bedrooms. She quietly walked from the kitchen into the living room, smiled at us like if she was our mother, walked into the hallway and disappeared. We were all sitting there in silence not believing what we actually saw, but we did. She was very faint, and we could tell she was from maybe the 1950′s or 60′s. Since she is so friendly we are not that scared of her, and I will be sure to write more if things start to get heated up.
