Five Years in a Haunted House

Posted on April 11, 2011

The house that I used to live in with my family was haunted. We lived there for about five years.

I remember that on the second or third night there, the doorbell kept on ringing. It was around 11 o’clock at night I think. I remember clearly that it rang for 13-15 times without stopping. We disregarded the doorbell ringing, and eventually got used to it. It would ring by itself every now and then.

One morning, I was asleep on my bed when I heard a little girl beside me telling me “wake up”. It was really close to my ear so I heard it clearly and immediately woke up from it. I asked my mom why did she come in to wake me up, but my mom said that she didn’t go in my room at all. Sometime after that incident, my mom experienced the exact same thing. She asked me if I woke her up or not, but I said that I was taking a shower when it happened.

We moved houses later on, but I think that the same “friend” visits us in our newer house. Or it could be a different one.

One night when I was sleeping (in our current house) I felt somebody tickle my foot, but it wasn’t my mom or dad because they were both sleeping and I don’t have any younger siblings. My siblings all moved away.I didn’t scratch it either because it felt ticklish not itchy.

Also, I was watching TV and going online one afternoon when the TV suddenly switched off by itself. I was no where near the remote. At first I thought that it was a power outage but everything else was on. On another afternoon, I was on my computer when my dog (who was laying on the floor) suddenly started to pace around the living room and gaze at the front door. She growled at the door for a few times but continued to pace around the living as if she was really afraid. I looked outside but nobody was there. I calmed my dog down. Months later, the same thing happened when my mom was home.
