Emily Rose’s death

Posted on June 4, 2011

Sorry, I can’t remember how to spell her real name.

Just before she died she stated to her mother, “Mama, I’m scared.”

I’m not Catholic, and I don’t know or understand the ritual(s) of exorcism.

I’m troubled about the vision Emily witnessed, and believing it was the virgin Mary, arrived and discussed what path Emily would take, either of which was stated by Mary.

It is one thing when scripture makes it clear that dying, taking the place of those already lost in sin…, it is another to just submit to demons, and dying for what seems to be old news.

I was totally stumped when the vision of Mary said she could be free of the demons immediately, or continue on with the possession in full force. I see it as surrendering to evil. In my right mind, I could never submit and commit myself to dying a horrible death knowing full well that I could have deliverance.

What purpose does deliverance serve when we choose to die in the hands of wicked demons. Jesus died giving us the faith we can be delivered. I don’t see how surrendering to evil glorifies Christ. Worse than that is the uncertainty she had when she told her mother that she was frightened/scared. I’m a bit confused.

Could a deceitful demon could have easily appeared to be Mother Mary. I measure or examine everything according to the Bible…, and specially including “messengers” from God Himself.

I pray that Emily is in God’s hands. I mean no ill will to her or her family.

    It’s called being a Martyr.

If Emily Rose had chosen to simply die when she was told she could, there may not have been such hype and coverage of it. Reminding humanity that such things are still a reality.

To be a martyr is to choose the hard path. Whether that be immediate death and sacrifice, or to live in suffering until a greater good has been achieved.

Christ himself was a Martyr, according to the bible he died for our sins, and not in an overly pleasant way. He was the son of God, he performed miracles, he could have at any point fought back against those who where crucifying him. In a way he surrendered to evil, because if he had fought back and chosen the easy option, he would not have died for our sins and opened the way to heaven.
Judas also can be considered the greatest Martyr of all, if he had not have betrayed Christ, dooming himself to being hated for all eternity and possibly condemning himself to Hell, Christ would not have died. And all the stuff that happened as a result of him dying would not have happened.
However you can only argue Judas was a Martyr if you believe that he was actually doing God’s work by dooming him to death.

Martyrdom is a complicated thing, a part of martyrdom can include having the world think you where an idiot or just weak.

There should be a “like” button for posts. I agree with you 100%. As far as my opinion, something like the case of Emily Rose was and still is very necessary because our world seems to have chosen science as its’ god. We need to be reminded that God and His will are not superstition but solid fact. If we acknowledged this, there would not be a need for poor souls like her to suffer so horrendously. God bless the woman and may she rest in peace.

Emily Rose was a fictional girl in a story that was very loosely based upon a true story. The real girls name was Anneliese Michel and here is the true story – //www.trueghosttales.com/paranormal/the-true-story-of-the-excorcism-emily-rose/

Took the words right out of my mouth CT…. :-D

CT is right. Check it out. Besides in the movie the Virgin Mary said when Emily died she was going to heaven…. Isn’t that what happen in the movie?

  3. Multi_packcan13 says:

Oh, well there we go then.

Thats why Emily Rose did that then. Because she didn’t exist.

    • Caretaker says:

Your just talking about a name. She was real and she did die. Just because the name was changed for the movie does not mean that she didnt exist.

  4. BekkieLassy says:

She was givin the two paths. One to die emediatly and be saved from evil OR To carry on with living to show people that the devil do exist and to show what he can do to you if you cross his path. She diesided to stay to show others what realy was goin on and tha God is the only God alive.
Maby you sould see that part again and listen carefully to what Mary was telling her.

The true story of the excorcism of Emily Rose was posted on this site. Youll find it at most popular stories.
Im gona quote a piece out of it to prove my frevious comment.

“She told of the Virgin Mary coming to her and offering her two choices – to have immidiate freedom from the demons or to let the possession continue for a while longer to reveal the danger and power of demons to the whole world and save souls”
“She was also told that before her death she would be free of the demons and would die in grace. She decided to remain possessed and stopped the excorcisms. She also predicred the time of her death”

Meening that she did not carry on becaus she was told she would have deliverance, but she wanted to prove to people tha demons are dangerous and powerfull. She was also not told to do so to get deliverance. She was told that before she die she would be free from the demons and die peacefully.
She did not do all of this for herself. She did this for every boddy around her trying to save them from the power and danger of demons. She went through hell for other people.
