Couldn’t Sell Haunted House

Posted on November 6, 2008

My story started when we bought a home in Minnesota after I got out of the navy. It was a nice home across the street from Prior Lake. We got it for a good price but we soon found out why.

I was still in California cleaning up our house on base housing after the movers took all our furniture. My wife and sons left early and were already staying in our new house with a few items of borrowed furniture. One night she called me freaking out because she heard chairs being pushed across the floor upstairs. No one was there when she went upstairs.

After our furniture got there things started happening on a regular basis like appliances turning on by themselves, funny weird smells, always dusty and batteries lasting only a few days in remotes and things. And as the years went on it got worse.

Our neighbors told us lights would go on and off all over the house during the night. Our dog rusty would be locked in different rooms with the door shut quite terrified when we would come home a lot. My father came to live with us after my mother passed and he would find her picture he kept by the bed by the door every morning. He would see shadows in the stairwell all the time.

We came home to a dark house once and my youngest son was totally freaked out backed up on the couch because there were two orbs floating in front of him. We found out an old lady used to appear in front of our sons when they were trying to sleep all the time. They never told us until things started going bad.

One time me and my wife and the dog and cat were in the kitchen and a rubber ball bounced into the room. My son and his wife came inside off the porch to get my wife one day screaming, look. She went outside and there were millions of orbs rushing up and down the street. She said all of the sudden they were gone, just like that.

Things got real bad after that. One of my sons rooms turned ice cold with him and his wife inside while they were visiting us one day. And all the curtains started moving as if there was a wind but all the windows were shut. His bible started showing up upside down on the floor a lot.

I finally got hold of some paranormal investigators from the twin cities. We waited for them for two weeks, during that time I fashioned a pair of divining rods from some welding rods. My wife was behind me when we went into my sons room and both rods slammed backwards and the most awful foreboding feeling passed through me and then her (as I found out when she told me right after that.) We were scared then and ran like hell.

The investigators finally came. Turned out we had a bad demon that had been where our home now stood since time. Their 3 psychics told us about an old lady that helped my wife cook and looked after the boys and they even knew my wife’s specialty was banana bread cause she enjoyed cooking it with her. The psychic asked her to leave a few times but she wanted to wait for the next family. A small boy who traveled between houses, and another entity that told one of the investigators to eat sh– on EVP.

We also got EVPS saying it was ” lost” after we asked. I thought it was really creepy when one of the psychics argued with the demon and asked it why it didn’t go back to hell where it belonged. One of the psychics had to go outside to ground themselves a few times. They saged our home and we all prayed. I let the home go to the bank cause I couldn’t and wouldn’t sell it to anyone. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

When the guy called me that got it after the foreclosure sale asked me if I’d leave the keys and he’d pay me I said yes, and it was with great pleasure that I informed him of what he just bought. I told him to ask any of the neighbors for the truth. All I know is he was someone who until then profited off of others misery and sorrow after they loose a home. Not this time! And it wasn’t even my fault. I told him to get out of this as soon as he could. The best feeling in the world was hearing the complete silence of not knowing what to say to me after I told him! So that’s what greed gets you I guess. It’s true greediness gets punished someday!
