Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Well, in my elementary school days I used to have to wake up at 4 in the morning to go to my aunts home/daycare where I would then go to sleep until it came time for me to go to school. It would be the same routine every morning, wake up – go to sleep – wake up go to school. At that time I used to dibble dabble in paranormal books at the library and was fairly interested in the thought of ghosts and Bigfoot and generally anything of that nature, although I never truly believed it all to be real.

One morning I had woken up feeling rather energized I recall and was so excited about that day at school I simply couldn’t go back to sleep when I arrived at my aunt’s house. I remember everyone in the house was asleep and it was so quiet, somewhat peaceful but not quite. As I lay in the bunk bed waiting for 7 o’clock to roll around I remember looking around the room and feeling suddenly aware of my surroundings. Almost instantly the air took on a chill that I’ll nigh forget! I suddenly felt afraid, out of nowhere it seemed.

My vision quickly darted into the hall (the bedroom door was open) and I began to stare intently as if waiting to see someone run in and attack me. As I concentrated on the hall a mist began to appear that at first I didn’t quite realize at all. Then it grew rather large floating about 4 or 5 feet off the carpet, and with the strangest notion of grace it materialized into a man. I was so frightened I couldn’t move. I just sat there staring.

He was somewhat stocky in build wore faded jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt with hood on over his head so I couldn’t see a face. He wasn’t looking at me either, he was looking at the ground with his hands in his pockets slowly swaying and shifting his weight from foot to foot and it seemed at times he let out a small cough. Then he  just turned, began walking down the hall, and simply disappeared.

Afterwards, I just lay there in disbelief. “It couldn’t have been real” I kept whispering to myself. But the truth of the matter was that it truly was real. I had just seen a ghost.

Bear with me this happened a while ago and I’ve had other experiences since, but this experience in particular was very eye opening to me. Daily I ponder the existence of other beings here on earth and on other planets and dimensions that may or may not exist. The fact of the matter is that there is more to this world then truly meets the eye.
