My Chihuahua a Special Soul

I would like to share with you the power of spirit and the power of love. I was blessed to receive my bundles of joy ten years ago. My little darling’s name was Zoe. My other new dog was a hefty 20 pounder Chihuahua whom I also love deeply.

Anyway their former owner felt that she was too busy for the dogs and made the painful sacrifice of letting them go. Not long after I became Zoe’s and Yoda’s mama, this former owner came by to see how the dogs were doing. Zoe looked at the young woman then jumped on my lap as if to say, “This is my mama now.”

Every soul is special but Zoe really was something special. She had an inner strength and a mind of her own as any small dog owner would probably tell you. At maybe five pounds, this little dog was my spiritual strength. No matter how much chaos went on …

Black Cat back from the Dead

You can say what you want and I really hope that there may be someone out there who might have experience in truth or myth about the 9 lives of cats or someone who can give me a story of your own that can compare with this.

I will start out with the events that this event made me wonder if it had something to do with them. First of all, my husband had a major heart attack accompanied by a stroke that left him disabled. He had to learn how to walk and talk again. His speech was slurred. He had to have a feeding tube in his stomach because his food would go into his lungs and he couldn’t tell so they call it silent aspiration. He could choke to death and no one would even know he was choking.

I stayed at his bedside for 5 weeks, not receiving the doctors reports, gently trying to prepare me …

My Ghost Watch Dog

I had initially found this house for rent on Craigslist. It was slightly weather beaten from a tornado last April, the almost two acre yard was horribly overgrown and the interior needed a coat of paint and new carpeting. After the owner LeeLee had given us the grand tour, and apologized profusely for the condition of the place from the storm and the previous tenants, I asked for a few moments inside alone. All was peaceful. I walked outside and nodded to my husband that the house was clear. House hunting for the spirit sensitive is to say the least, frustrating. As soon as he was assured there were no houseguests from the afterlife, he said “We’ll take it.”

It was my fortieth birthday when we pulled into the driveway of our new home. It had been a grueling twenty-four hour drive from Ohio in our minivan, with my husband following behind with the rented moving truck towing his car. …

The Peon’s Story – Dog From the Cemetery

Back in  1975 or thereabouts I spent a few weeks of the summer working as a “Peon” or casual labour hand with a team from the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture which was then carrying out a forestry inventory, the practical part of which was done in the summer, the inventory itself to last about four years.

My job as a Peon consisted in accompanying a forestry technician to a particular region of the forest called a “parcela” or parcel and there I would, for example, be told to go to a given tree and measure its trunk and take samples of its wood. I would then call out the measurements to the team leader (the technician). In all we were three teams of two men each, the leader and a peon in each one.

I found this very invigorating work after teaching English in Madrid. There were no classes in the heat of summer as all my pupils had gone …

Animals We Have Seen In Spirit

“UNTIL ONE HAS LOVED AN ANIMAL, A PART OF ONE’S SOUL REMAINS UNAWAKENED”
Anatole, French Novelist

There is only one statue in all of New York City that does not need to be polished in spite of weather, bird droppings, dust, grime and elements, and that is the statue of BALTO.  Balto is the beautiful Siberian husky sled dog that is immortalized as one of the 150 dogs that brought relief in the form of serum to the citizens of Nome, Alaska in 1925-26 from the horrible diphtheria epidemic killing the residents.  And the reason the statue does not need continual polishing and cleaning is because residents and guests to the site pet the statue continuously as if it were a real dog.  This says something to all of us about our love of animals.  All people with souls love animals.

And as running the largest and oldest paranormal investigative organization in the world, Gold Rush Ghosts International Paranormal Investigations, …

The Lady And The Cat

I was living in the country with a girlfriend. Our cottage was located up along a steep, dark, dirt road, three miles from the highway. We had only one set of neighbors whose long driveway ran parallel to ours, separated only by a tall row of cypress trees.

One evening around ten, we were visited by a male friend of ours who was in a bemused state. “Listen, you girls better get out on the road and see what’s going on with this old lady I just saw. She’s walking along the side of the road in her nighty. I dunno what she’s doing there. I asked her if she was alright and if she needed a lift but she just ignored me and carried on shuffling up the road. I probably freaked her out more than anything, being a strange bloke in a car at night. But jeezus, it’s the middle of freakin nowhere.”

Yeah, it’s dark but we’re …

The Ghost Dog

My husband and I are Ebay sellers. We go to a lot of auctions. We mainly buy buttons and small vintage items. Sometimes we have to buy a whole box of stuff just to get one item in the box.

One late Friday night after returning from an auction I was at my computer with my back facing the lot boxes we had won that night. As I sat doing some item research I about jumped out of my chair as I heard a whistle behind my back! I turned slowly in my chair and looked at the window, even though it was late at night it was light outside because the streetlight is right in front of our home, there was no one to be seen in the window. Also I knew the whistle was behind me and came from within the house.

I turned and my eyes fell on the lot boxes. There was an old hat that …

The White Dog Ghost

When I was six I got dropped off at my grandma’s house after school. My grandma lived on a really high hill with a long driveway and trees on both sides. So I was walking up her driveway when I heard whimpering. I looked around for the cause of the noise but I didn’t see anything.

As I continued up my driveway I heard barking and a huge dog jumped out in front of me. The dog had streaks of dirt and blood but I could tell it was white to begin with. It growled and barked at me but what I remember were those dark, pitch black, eyes that stared almost like it was looking right through you. I was scared out of my wits.

The dog jumped on me and tackled me into the grass. The dog bit into my leg just enough to make it bleed and I closed my eyes. When I opened them again the …

Pet Hauntings Animals As Ghosts

Written by the Caretaker

Many stories have been written and told that deal with pets and ghosts. A lot of stories are about pets who have come “back from the grave” to interact with the living.

I once read about a returning soldier who was saved from drowning by his old faithful German Shepherd. He had to walk the last few miles to the house. It happened to be very dark in a strong wind and rain storm. Along the way he was met up by his old dog. That dog showed up just as he was about to cross a bridge and did everything it could to stop him. He eventually gave in and followed the dog up to the next bridge went across and headed on home. Somewhere along the way the dog disappeared. He assumed that it had went on home.

After he had been home for a few minutes he asked about the dog. His family …

Ghost Cat In Our Loft

Submitted to us by Embraeah Catthol

In about January 2007, I was sitting in my room while my younger sister was on the computer. It was about ten o’clock in the morning, so I was fully awake, while my older cousin, Beau, was asleep. Payge, my younger sister, had her headphones on, so what happened couldn’t have been her.

From around our loft, where Beau slept, I heard a single, clear, loud ‘Meow’. I asked Payge if it was her, but she said that it wasn’t. The TV’s obviously wasn’t making the noise, because I don’t use my bedroom’s TV, my living room TV wasn’t on, and my mom’s TV can’t be that clearly defined when her bedroom door is shut.

Strangest thing is: My cats died in 2005, and I don’t have any, nor could I hear my neighbors’ cats if they had any.

This story is so freaking weird. Not only do I not own any cats, but …
