Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I’m going to try to make this blog as simple as possible. Around 2 years ago I discovered my love for Ghost Hunters. I was really into the paranormal and I remember saying to myself “I wish I could see an apparition” and I would even fantasize about it. That’s how close I wanted to be to the paranormal but over time my interest for it soon faded and I no longer thought about it.

I live close to a graveyard which is located in my neighbors yard. Buried there is a family that passed within early to mid 1800′s. Early May of 2010, a gentleman went to the graveyard to clean it up. Trees had fallen and groundhogs dug holes under the tombstones. It was a real mess but the gentleman and his friends worked on it for about 2 weeks and now it looks nice and is easy to get to.

After the graveyard was cared for odd things began to happen around my home.

Early June 2010: My hubby and I heard someone walk up the steps of the front porch but no one was there.

Late June 2010: My hubby went to the store with my son. My daughter was playing on the front porch. I was to the left of the house on the deck laying-out getting sun. I heard a male voice to my left say “God”. I jumped up and saw… no one.

Early July 2010: My hubby and son went to a friends house to go fishing. Around 8 p.m. and my daughter had fallen asleep in my sons room (and I was in there playing on the computer). About 9 I heard the front door open and close so I assumed it was my husband. I stayed in my sons room ’cause I figured he would come in there and say hello. I waited about 3 minutes before going into the living room. No one. No husband, no son, no one. I got freaked out and called my hubby to see where he was. He said he was still at his friends house. I said “well if you’re not here then who is?” I checked all the rooms and no one.

Mid July 2010: My kids went to sleep early and my hubby and I decided to spend time together. Around 11 p.m after being intimate my husband went into the kitchen to get a drink and I went to the bathroom and then back to bed. I could see him standing in the living room from the bed. He was looking around like he was puzzled. I said “what’s wrong?” He replied “Did you just have the t.v on?” I said “No” He said “I swear I heard someone talking” No t.v.’s were on. We dismissed it.

Aug. 27, 2010: My hubby went to Maryland with my son to work on his parents house. I stayed home with my daughter. She fell asleep in the living room around 9 p.m. I was sitting on the bed in my bedroom playing on the computer. My bed looks out into the living room. I had a feeling of something looking at me so I looked up and there was a figure of a man. Standing in the living room was a man who looked like he didn’t have a shirt on ’cause I could see the kitchen light reflecting off of his collar bone and shoulders. I could see his neck but no face. It looked jeans he was wearing. The apparition was a medium grey and transparent. He was facing me. I stared for a second trying to figure out what I was looking at. When I realized what I was seeing was a arm on his right side I said to myself “that’s an arm” and by that time it had dissipated.

One week later: My hubby went back to MD to work on the house. I kept my daughter. My hubby called and said he was coming home that night. I was in my bedroom working on eBay and my daughter was in the living room watching cartoons. I heard the front door open so I said “Katie get away from the door”. I thought she was trying to go outside. Katie came into the bedroom and said “I thought Daddy was coming in but it wasn’t”. Puzzled I said “Didn’t you open the door?” She said “No” “I was watching t.v. and the door opened, I saw a foot and then the door closed” I went into the living room and looked out the window to find my husband wasn’t home yet. Katie and I both heard the door open and she saw what looked like someone walk in but it wasn’t my husband.

I finally got up enough nerve to speak to the entity. I used my digital recorder while doing so. I explained that he was scaring me and my children. I asked him not to do so anymore. I did get a couple of unexplained EVPs ( See EVPs Voices of the Dead ) that sounds like answers to some of the questions I asked.

After I told him how I felt I haven’t had anymore experiences but my daughter did say about a week ago that it felt like someone grabbed her when she was in the living room looking out the window. I noticed lately the house is getting that “spooky” feel again. I’m not sure if this entity is still here or not but either way, I hope it doesn’t pose a threat to my family.
