Bat-Demon Like Creature Prowling In The Woods

Posted on November 19, 2007

Submitted by Rayford Ladean Rowe

When I was ten, me, my mom, and dad were nearly attacked by some bat-demon creature perched on the side of a cliff. That was thirty miles south of a town called Eureka Springs in Arkansas.

I turn twenty one this November and I will be moving up there to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to research that event that happened nearly eleven years ago. Even if I find out as much as I know now, which is nothing, I will have tried to solve it.

If anyone has heard something that I don’t know please reply to this with a comment.

Is it possible that what you and your family saw was actually a bat that you had somehow disturbed? If so, bats are not known for attacking people, Maybe it was just afraid and was trying to get away.

If you are sure that it was not a normal bat we would really like to hear a description of what it looked like and just how big it was.

  2. K says:

With all the respect in the world, you probably just got attacked by the bat because you disturbed him … something attacking you does not = evil entity.

THIS IS NOWN AS THE POWPOBOWA!!!!!! YOU ARE VERY LUCKY…….
    sorry about the capitals…….caps lock

  4. crypto says:

It sounds like a mothman. To be sure a close size will be needed. It is not dangerous mostly, do not walk alone walk in groups and take a weapon of some sort. After the sighting did some thing bad happen. If it is mothman do not look at it bad things might happen. Be aware of things unpleasant if it is seen get ready .

I live in Arkansas and have for several years. I know a lot of the tales and stories across the whole state, and I have never ever heard anything remotely close to what you are describing. Not saying that you didnt see something, just saying, as a “native” I’ve never come across something that resembles your tale, in or out of Eureka Springs. Although Eureka Springs does have a lot of history with the paranormal, your case is just the first that has been noted I think.

  6. Katie says:

Was it 7 or 8 feet tall? If it was it might have been Mothman.

We need more details on the nature of your attack. Did it come at you closely, then what? How close did it get to you? What did it do then? did it look you in the eyes? Any facial expressions? Did you see it come and go? what did it look like exactly? More details please!
