Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

This story is from before I was born and I have been told it many times. It is completely true and has not been changed.

My mum walked into my brothers room one night, when he was 3. She had heard him talking and wanted to see what he was doing. When she walked in he got annoyed and shouted “Mummy! You scared her away!” and my mum said “Who did I scare?” “Amy, the little ghost girl.”

My mum just thought he had been dreaming or that it was an imaginary friend he made up. This went on for a few weeks until one day he ran downstairs all exited “Mummy, mummy! I found out how Amy died. She ran out that door and out into the road and boom, a car hit her and she flew over the hedges and into the field and she was dead.”

My mum got quite worried and told her friend about it who was a Doctor. Her friend then went and looked into the records of the airbase (they lived on a RAF camp) and found out there was a little girl who lived there 10 years ago. Her name was Amy and she was 3 years old at the time she died. She ran out into the road and got hit by a motor bike and flew over a hedge and into a field and died instantly.

After that my Mum completely believed he was seeing a ghost and just let him get on with it. He would sit in his room with his toys and he would play with her and every so often he would sit and chat to her at night. After a while it just stopped and he has no memory of Amy anymore. Its sad because the little girl lost her friend. I just hope another young child moved into the house after us because poor little Amy must be lonely.
