About five years ago, I lived in a detached house in Kentucky. The house itself was fairly big, the garden was very small, but as it was my husband, my 4 year old child, and me, it was absolutely perfect. There had been an occupants before us, as the house had been built in the 1920′s or something round that time.
Well, when we moved in, and as soon as we set foot into the place, it was extremely cold. We thought it was because the heating wasn’t turned on, so we went to check it, the heater, and you can probably guess it was turned on.
We then got settled in, unpacked and got all the furniture arranged. I put my daughter to bed, then me and my husband went to bed, as we were very tired after arranging the house. We fell asleep quickly, and then I awoke around 3 am. I could hear a door downstairs slamming opening and then closing. I woke my husband and told him. He then suggested it was Sally (daughter) just getting a drink, so he went to check if she was okay, but no one was there and when he checked her bedroom she was fast asleep.
A couple of weeks later my husband had to go to work, as he usually works on nights, so it was only me and Sally home. That night was the worst night of my life. Me and Sally were in the living area watching TV, when we could hear loud bangs coming from the kitchen. I went in and my kitchen was cluttered, peanut butter was put all over the walls, and pans and pots were all over the floor. Then I saw someone at the door, a tall man, just looking at me. I decided then I had had enough. I took my daughter, packed some of our clothes and left the house, I stayed at my sisters that night.
My husband said, that he had come home, and as I had left a note, he packed some of his clothes, and as he left the house, in his car, he swore he saw a black shadow from the upstairs window just stare at him.
I looked up the background of this house, and apparently when it was being built, a man who was helping to build the place, fell of his ladder and died. There has also been a death of an old man there.
Hope you enjoyed my story.
