A Ghost Story From the Island of Rota

This story took place in Rota a small island. Rota has many ghosts on it, the white lady and a tao tao mona, pretty scary, but I had never encountered a ghost before.

Ghost Story from Island of RotaOne day when my mom and dad and my brother went to a house to stay in. It was real nice. It’s like I was in my dream house.

After a few months I heard noises and knocks on the door. I looked outside but no one was there. I think for a moment I thought someone was there. I didn’t believe in ghosts at that time, but now I do. I got really scared and I started vomiting like someone was choking me.

Well, I got use to it but still got scared all the time. The bathroom door knocks. It gets louder and louder. I can’t stop looking out the window every time someone knocks. I am scared to be alone. I am even scared typing this too, it reminds me.

In about three or five days more things started happening. When I was sleeping on the floor I turned around and someone was breathing on my neck. I started freaking out. I closed my eyes and counted up to 10, when I reached 10 it stopped. That was soooo scary right there.

When I walked to my grandmas house to visit, she’s 45 years old, I asked her what happened in that house that I am staying in. She said that an old lady died there a few years ago. She said that she’s going there to check her house.

I asked her why does she knock on the door all night, but she didn’t say anything. I was worried when I got home. My mom wasn’t done with work, I was alone again. I didn’t want to go in the house so I stayed outside and I called my friends over with my cell phone.

Only two of my friends came and my uncle LD. I told them about it, so they realized that I have to move to another place so I agreed to move to Saipan. When I got in my car I looked back at the house. There was a lady waving at me, it was the old lady that my grandma was talking about.

I waved back at her and she disappeared.

Perhaps “Ghost” has become a catch all term for different types of things. Most likely is that there are a lot of different types of entities and energy which may be labeled a “ghost”.

Poltergeists, for example, are assumed to be a different sort of “critter” than the spirit or soul of the deceased. They are some form of energy, perhaps without intelligence.

There are residual hauntings which are like some sort of movie scene playing in re-runs and many other “things” out there. Labeling creatures is difficult enough when one can see and control them.

When it comes to the paranormal our measuring devices and tools are so inept that they leave us little more than blind at best. We must remain skeptical and follow logic but we must also open our minds and hearts to see what is going on all around us.

    Hi,

A ghost is the spirit of a person who has died and not gone into heaven (healing)(whatever you believe heaven to be). They are trapped between heaven and earth by their own choice – and there are dozens of reasons why that might happen, from their own fear of judgment, to wanting to stay and comfort their loved ones. Not all ghosts are nasty, some are simply lost .. and all of them need to be rescued so that they can find ‘peace’. Spirits, on the other hand, have gone into healing and can come and visit their family and friends whenever they want to, without making them frightened, cold, or sick. When they visit they leave us with good memories and a sense of comfort. When a ghost visits its usually because they are hungry and looking for our energy.

Regardless of what some religions believe ghosts are not demons. Demons are a whole different, and far more difficult, energy to deal with. Some Christian sects believe ghosts and spirits are demons … so do some cultures, like the Japanese, and many believe that both ghosts and demons need to be placated (honoured) to make sure they do their families no harm. Because it makes the people feel better I don’t think it hurts to do this but … don’t try and conjure up a demon just to check.

Adding to the other answer: Poltergeist (german for ‘noisy ghost) is a collection of energy usually expressed by hyperactive children (female or male usually at puberty) and sometimes by menopausal women. It can be destructive when it gets strong enough. The energy can be released but it will go away by itself as the person ages, or understands what is happening more clearly. Problem is it tends to attract negative energy forms, such as ghosts or demons, who will take over the role of the poltergeist and upset the humans to get more negative energy from them. Having your house blessed, by a priest or a medium trained in the work, can help to stop the situation.

Residual ghosts are not ghosts at all. Do you remember vinyl records .. they had grooves in them where the sound was recorded. Well, a residual ghost is created by emotion that writes itself onto the walls of a building, or onto the land where a battle has been, or in some cases, into the sky .. and the pattern there repeats whenever something triggers them. An interesting case is Anne Boleyn in england who is both a ghost and a residual ghost (I know this because I have been where she haunts). She used to appear quite frequently in two places, sometimes at the same time. One ghost was her, and the other was her emotional echo.

There are two toys I love to play with when ghost hunting. One is the K2. We have had a couple of interesting conversations with ghosts through yes/no signals using that device .. and the other is a download on the Iphone (I think). It ‘locates’ a ghost in the room with you, like sonar under water .. and it works well. I can see ghosts and sense them and that gadget is fun for those who can’t.

    Love & Light

Ghost are the spirit of the dead people. They still bound with the earth due to their unfinished work, their love for someone/something, a will in vain, etc. Naturally, they are not bad. Almost all of the ghost who I ever met is harmless. And they are different with Demons.
There are many types of ghost, so it’s natural if every culture has a different definition of what a ghost really is and where it comes from, since every place have different kinds of ghosts.
