Hi I’m 13 years old but this ghost story is real. It happened when I was 8 years old.
I’m from Russia but I live in u.a.e (united Arab Emirates).
One day I really needed a phone so my dad bought me a Motorola v3 black. So while he went to buy the phone,i was sleeping. I dreamed about my uncle. So when my dad came back he looked sad and depressive. He gave me the phone and I thanked him and started asking him what happened. He set quiet and suddenly spoke… he said my uncle died… tears started running my cheeks… I thought I was still asleep, but dreams are totally different form reality.
After all we started packing our luggage and leave to Russia. When we landed, we went to my grandmas house. My dad stepped in the house and he asked me to come along, but I simply said that I was scared. He said there was nothing to be scared of and I stepped in. My dad said that my uncle died in the basement.
I went down to the basement (didn’t want to watch the funeral) and sat at one of the chairs. Suddenly the door of our basement slowly started opening by it self. At first I thought it was the wind but then I realized that there was no wind. I ignored it. We keep fruits and stuff like that in our basement, but there’s another door where you can go to the gym. I went to the gym and started staring at my self at this huge mirror. After five minutes or so I saw a human shape standing beside me. It was my uncle. His left hand was on my right shoulder. I closed my eyes and ran as fast as I could to the living room.
That night I slept at my uncles room. I couldn’t sleep, I kept thinking about what happened in the gym. So, I lighted a candle.
There were plenty of his pictures in his room. I stood up and stared at one of his photographs, it started shaking. Chills were running my back. I was so scared that I started crying, but yet I kept staring at the picture. It burst out. Glasses flew all over the room. I ran up to my dad and told him what happened. He didn’t believe me (of course). After that day I stopped visiting my uncles room and the gym.
Thank you so much for reading my story. It’s a memory that I cant forget.

i feel you and your uncle were close so it was just your uncle saying goodbye
Wow… Your story reminded me of the time when my grandfather died. It was around 3 o’clock and I was busy doing my hobby when I suddenly stopped and uttered “somebody left without saying goodbye” as I said that I was looking at the clock. Later that day I found out my grandfather died at exactly 3 o’clock and I never had the chance to see him in the hospital alive.
I think your uncle was mad at you for not coming to the funeral to see him off, either that or, there is a demon trying to invade your home. If it never happened again, that’s a good sign that it’s not following you. I also once lived in the U.A.E and apparently, people in the Middle East don’t believe in ghosts! The apartment where I lived looks a bit run down, and I asked the land lord if there were ghosts, she just laughed and said “there are no ghosts in the Middle East.”
I know you love you uncle, but what I don’t understand is why you felt scared and why he made the photo glass burst out? What made him so mad?
Buddy, your landlady was a complete FOOL, as I am SURE there are ghosts in the Middle East! (Just like everywhere else in the world!) There are no geographical boundaries where spirits are concerned. What a foolish thing to say!
(P.S.) Sometimes I wonder about the validity of these stories. Not saying this one isn’t true. It just seems a bit…far fetched.
I too, sometimes wonder how much of it is factual and how much of it is false memory. I have experienced some weird paranormal anomalies myself, but I have yet to experience glass bursting and stuff flying about (like the ones from the movies).
The stuff I have confirmed that are close to reality (which I myself experienced) are:
Apparitions, strange malevolent feeling, or the feeling of being watched by unseen entities, rocking of bed and chair, opening and closing of doors and cupboards without a gist of wind, unexplainable sounds of footsteps, and shadow ghosts. I haven’t touched any ghosts though…
