A Close Experience

Posted on January 22, 2009

I was alone in my house in the early evening, it would have been about eight. I was reading in my study, my parents and siblings were all out and I’d opted to stay in the house alone. I didn’t feel like going out at the time. My border collie Tess was lying by my feet as I was reading.

There are steps from my study that lead into the sitting room. Suddenly without any warning my dog tess leaped to her feet and ran to the top of the steps. I’d never seen her behave this way before. The hackles on her back raised and she bared all her teeth and began to drool. She was growling and snarling and I ran to her. I spoke to her but she didn’t appear to here me, she moved her head from one side of the room to the other. Like she was following someone.

She then ran to my kitchen which joins onto my sitting room and did the exact same thing. When she reached the kitchen wall she relaxed, her hackles fell she stopped growling. She then sat in the kitchen, I sat next to her and she remained in a protective position. I was scared and felt ill at ease. I sat with her a while and within fifteen minutes she abandoned the kitchen and returned to the study. I stayed with her, it felt safer that way.

that as creepy, I trust my dog too. if he barks and ther is nothing there, I get scared, I do believe that dogs and cats see somthng we don’t, and I don’t want to know what they see.

I have 6 little house dogs and they bark at people when they come to my front door. The other night probably 2 weeks ago me and my mom was sitting in the living room talking about my brother Terry that passed away in 2002!! Whenever we talk about him, we can always feel his presence with us. Well I thought nothing of it and I came to my mom’s room to use the computer. My dogs went running to the front door barking like someone was out there and then me, my mom, my dad and my youngest son JJ heard someone knock on the door. My little boy went running to the door saying HUH, (he’s only 14 months old) and was waiting for someone to open the door. My mom told me to get it becauze I was closer to it so I got up and opened the door. NOBODY OR NOTHING was there. We all heard the knock and we KNOW we weren’t just hearing things. I think it was my brother Terry just letting us know he’s still around!! It was still kind of creepy though!!

My dog used to bark at my daughter’s bedroom wall when we first moved in our new home, but we later discovered he was responding to dogs barking across the road, which we couldn’t hear from her bedroom.

Your dog could have been picking up on spirits though.

i have cats and a dog who will watch something in a room at my boyfriends house too. we have a spirit that walks across the front deck and my dog sees and senses it before i do. i also had a dog who would know when a storm was approaching too. animals are very sensitive to things humans cannot sense. i trust them completely!!
