I just want to share my experience. I am Filipino. And paranormal creatures are very rampant in our country. I guess you’ve heard about white ladies, tikbalang (half-man half-horse), aswang (lady that goes out at night to prey), etc.
This particular experience gives me goosebumps whenever I think about it (I’m having goosebumps now)
One night, when I was alone in our house because my grandparents were in a church gathering, I was watching television. The mirror in the kitchen was adjacent to our living room, and from the living room, I can see the reflection of our stairs. While I was enjoying watching cartoons, I made the mistake of looking at the mirror, and in the mirror, I saw a woman or maybe it was girl, upside down. Her skin had the color of like what zombies look like. She was as if staring at me from the mirror though her eyes were all white. I froze for I don’t know what minutes.
I prayed to our father but to my horror it was still there. It was already 10 in the evening and I was scared to go out. But because I was horror stricken, I immediately ran outside leaving the TV on. The gate was locked so I had to climb up. I stayed outside for almost 1 hour until my grandparents came back. They were puzzled why I was outside in my shorts and sleeveless (since I never go out in them no matter what time). I just told them that I felt hot.
I was shaking when we went inside and I told my grandma that I’ll be sleeping with her from now on. She asked me why I wont sleep in my room. I couldn’t tell her the reason because I was still horrified since before you reach my room, you had to take the stairs.
It is already three years since that happened. I am now living with my aunt. Whenever I go to my grandparents’ house, I never went up my room. That experience still haunts me in my dreams.
