“They” say it is quite normal perhaps even average for a young child to create an imaginary friend. Experts disagree as to exactly why children do this but all agree that it happens. Perhaps the child who envisions their own imaginary friend just needs someone that will listen to them or provide them with company.
There is a lot of evidence that indicates that at least some of these imaginary friends aren’t so imaginary. What would you think if I told you it were possible for that imaginary friend to be an actual ghost or entity?
According to the experiences of some it is true. I have a reader submitted story here that describes a case where her imaginary friend was really a ghost. This little girl’s imaginary friend was real!
I can’t really tell it as well here as the original writer has told it so you should read her complete story about everything she experienced.
Read her story and several others that deal with an imaginary friend who was really a ghost:

I have a friends who’s little boy says he has a friend named Ernest but u ask him where he is an he says he lives in the wall what can this mean
he probably has a friend that lives in the wall.tell your friend to ask the brother to describe the friend and just ask questions for now and go from there.
it might be that the little boy was killed and his ramains were put in between the wall to hide the crime.
