Was it my Grandpa’s Ghost?

When I was ten years old, my two cousins were at my house and my grandma was home by herself. My two cousins lived with my grandma. My aunt was also at my house too. Everybody was getting thirsty because they were watching a movie. So me and my aunt were gonna walk to my grandma’s house to get some soda and munchies.

The house was like one mile away.It was like 10:00 to 11:00 at night. It was kinda cold too. We started walking then when we got there my grandma’s room light was on. My aunt knocked on the door and walked in. So did I. The kitchen light over the sink was on. It was an odd color, like it was green and gray mixed.

My grandma came out of her room and my aunt was talking to her. My grandma went to make some ice water so she did. While she was going to the freezer something in my Uncle’s room made a sound. My uncle, his girlfriend, and their baby were out of town. My aunt was shocked. She asked me if I heard it and I said yeah. My grandma just said” maybe it’s the cat.” Then we saw the cat which was on the couch. My aunt freaked out.

I was facing my uncle’s room. Then a baby started crying. We heard what sounded like my uncle trying to calm down the baby. I said, “Is William in the room?” (the baby) Then my grandma said, “Jr (my uncle) is not here, they left a long time ago.” I was scared.

Then my uncle said to his girlfriend, “go make some milk for the baby.” While that was happening we heard a door close, but we saw that the room door didn’t open. It was closed the whole time. We heard footsteps come into the kitchen about halfway and turned around.Then we heard the door open and close. My uncle’s girlfriend said, “I can’t. there’s people in the kitchen.” That’s what shocked my grandma. Then that’s when the sounds of my uncle, the baby ,and his girlfriend faded and we didn’t hear anything else.

My grandma said it was probably my grandpa who visited. He died when I was like around five or six years old. We kept looking at each other saying, “Did you hear that?” Then we just left from there and went home. That was my first time hearing a ghost from inside my grandma’s house. My grandma says it maybe just the wind but I really think it’s my grandpa. I’m not really sure ever since.

This is my story ever to be on a website. Hope you guys like it. I know it was scary when I was actually there. Peace.

    That was freaky!!! It’s reeally upsetting when people say, oh it was probably just the wind, but yet you all heard it. Maybe your grandma just didn’t want you all to be scared and said that to calm everyone down, like our lovely grandma’s seem to do.

    It sounds like a typical recording phenomenon. These can even occur when the people that are recorded are still alive. In your case it was your uncle, his girlfriend and the baby that you heard.

    i got scared about your story i just want to know some thing who died you uncle and his family or your granpa

    Hi Brittany.I think what you heard was residual.Not a haunting but an imprint of energy from your Uncle’s family.They just seemed to go about an every day action as if they were there.By the sound of it they live there so their energy would be all through the house.With a new baby, the actions you heard would be common for them.

    WELL THATS A SCARY STORY. BUT I THINK THAT ITS TRUE WAT UR GRANDMA SAID MAYBE UR GRANDPA CAME TO VISIT U. BUT KEEP THIS IN MIND UR GRANDPA WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR U NOMATTER WERE HE IS HE WILL BE TAKING CARE OF U

    They were probably just doppelgangers. There’s another story on here about doppelgangers, maybe you should read it. I’m pretty sure that those were doppelgangers, although I have always heard you can see them. I know it sounds crazy, but my doppelgange lives with me lol. I call him Devin, we’re pretty good friends.
