Wait for Me, My Experiences With Ghosts & The Paranormal

Posted on April 10, 2008

I began experiencing something out of the norm after my mother passed away. I was 17 years old.

My mother’s house, we all felt, held evil forces. Even my mother, before she died felt afraid in that house. When she became sick she ended up in the hospital and would get somewhat better and come home. She would immediately become deathly sick again and back to the hospital she’d go where, after about the 4th trip, she did not come home again. She was cremated and her urn was set up in her room by her Japanese friends who left the table set up with incense and candles.

One night I laid down to sleep in her bed, urn right next to me and as I began to doze off it felt like something had paralyzed my body and I could not move. The terror that shot through me was so intense that I tried screaming to make myself able to move. I was aware of all the sounds around me so I knew I was awake. That made it even worse. As I tried to gain control of my body I saw these gas like substances in front of me. Green and red. I knew that whatever was behind it was evil and I did not want to face it. My terror grew so great that I was able to jerk out of it and make it out of the room. In each of these encounters, that force would continue to try and take me back down.

Once, I was on the couch watching TV, and I was “held down”. (Read about sleep paralysis) When I was able to get up the channel was on the “snow” channel and I felt so groggy as I tried to keep from being pulled down again, getting up and putting the channel back where I had it. By the time I laid back down, “it” got me again and when I was able to pull myself out of it again, the channel was on the snow channel again.

Sometimes I sensed some angry presence rush past me and a cold rush of wind would follow. Believe me, it may not sound like much but these events were more than scary.

Then it came to a night that I went to sleep in my mothers room again. I began having a dream that I was walking down the hall and I was aware of all the doors to the rooms being opened. For some reason this puzzled me in my dream. I came to the kitchen where the door to the garage was open. We always used this door. In the garage there was a mattress. I walked out to the mattress and climbed on top and laid down. The outside light was on. It was a yellow bug light and from it came flying down a moth towards me. I took my hand to wave it away and it turned into a bat, latching onto my hand and biting into me, making a loud squealing noise as I tried to get it off of my hand watching the blood come from the bitten area. This woke me up and I sat up in bed. The bedroom light was off but the hall light was on and I saw the shadow of a woman slumped in the doorway of the room just looking at me. She looked like my mother but was in terrible shape. Like she was very weak or sick. I began screaming and with my eyes shut, I ran through “it” and down the hall, waking my little sisters up and having to stay up with them all night. I was kind of glad for their company.

I told my dad this dream and he asked, “Was it your mother”?, which surprised me because my dad did not believe in stuff like that. I answered, “I hope not”! He then proceeded to tell me of what happened to him a few nights before that. My dad worked seven days on and seven days off so when he would be gone, I’d sleep in his room.

He said that he laid down and asked God, “God will I ever see my wife again”? And, he said that all of the sudden the covers went down and “she” laid down beside him and the covers were pulled back up over them and he went to sleep. He said that sometimes you can want something so bad that your imagination can give you what you want.

I always felt like her spirit was stuck in that house. I moved out and left to Oklahoma with my boyfriend. A few months later my dad decided to take a vacation and come to Oklahoma from Texas. He was killed in a car wreck before he made it to us. My youngest sister was with him. She ended up with five broken vertebrae and was life flighted to the hospital.

We received the terrible news and went to recover things from his vehicle before going to the hospital. A trucker had fallen asleep behind my dad going 80 mph, my dad going 55 mph.

When we arrived at the hospital, my sister was awake and greeted me so like my own child and looking like my mother lying there. It was heartbreaking. Then she asked me, “Did you get mom’s ashes out of the truck”? I told her that we did not know they were in there and asked why they were and where they were. She said that dad decided he was going to lock the whole house up this time even boarding up the front door, like they were moving or not coming back and told her to grab her mother’s ashes. They were supposedly underneath the passenger seat. My dad had taken two vacations before this and had never taken her ashes. He was always saying that he was not going to live much longer after she died even though he was a man in great health, flying helicopters for PHI out of Cameron Louisiana.

My mom once told me that she would die when my youngest sister was 11 years old. She was only one year old when she told me that, I was seven. My sister, now lying in ICU was 11 years old and my mother’s ashes were found underneath the driver’s seat. I don’t know how we missed the urn. We searched that truck thoroughly.

That house was haunted. I believe that and I believe that it still is. She died in 1981 and my dad was killed in 1984, only three years after her death and for some reason he took her with him on that trip that such a freak accident occurred on, taking his life.

My father’s sister had him cremated and my mother’s ashes were buried with his. I think she finally made her way out of that house and back with him.

wow… I could never imagine loosing both my parents in such short time. My heart goes out to you, with the haunting however, I have to say, not one thing about this story made me think it was fake… I can tell its all true! I have myself lived in a haunted home for 9 years, weird things happend, tvs would go on and off! Things flew off shelves… We even had a psychic investigate our old home, and he told us that out home was built on an old 19th century indian burrial ground! And we that we had poltergeist activity mostly, which freaked me out the most, in my room! I heard a womans voice calling my name is a soft whisper almost ever night for the whole year that I was 16. I held sleepovers, and my friends didnt want to come because they have even heard and witnessed encounters of there own. I was known as a freak in my neiborhood, and for those I didnt know, wouldnt even come up to my house! But I am 18 now and I recently moved into an apartment with my boyfriend here in sanford florida. And its like ever since I have lived here (1 and half months) I stay up until all hours of the night. Even the comfort and warmth of Ryans arms wont lure me to the bed. I have not been able to sleep durning the nights only the days. And when I first moved in here, I felt a blanket of weary feelings… Maybe I can relate to you with your sleeping

I feel the same way as Jessica, totally believe your story and i’m sorry you lost both parents.
I wouldn’t go near that house again. But now you’re getting dodgy feelings in your apartment. Have you tried praying, just give it a try at least, it can’t hurt. Also, you could be risking your relationship if you keep avoiding laying in bed with him. You need him now more than ever after losing your parents, so try not to let these things around you do you any more harm. You need to put an end to all this as your parents seem to have fallen victim to the evil, certainly your mum and now is the time to get rid of whatever it is. Pray and keep praying for you and your boyfriends sake.
    Good luck xx

Just to say, don’t know how it happened but i got totally mixed up with your story and Jessica’s in the comment above and ended up saying things to try and help in the last part of my message to Jessica. Sorry about that.
No i’m not mad, just not with it today i think.

  6. Anna says:

Thank you for your comments…I was re reading my story and realized that I had made a mistake when I said that my sister was lying in the hospital bed at 11 years old. She was 14…my mom had died 3 years earlier when she was 11. My moms words haunted me when she died when my sister was 11 and when she was lying there in that hospital bed I felt that my mom had something to do with that too. To this day, my mom’s “curse” on me, telling me that she would die when Cathy was 11, haunts me. My mother was mad at me when I was 7 years old and in her anger and pain, lashed out at me with that promise and I am just weirded out that it came to pass…maybe it was her punishment for even saying that to a 7 year old child…but who is really punished?
About the last comment…lol…I was wondering if I should quit sleeping with my husband for a minute there!
