Virginia City Ghost
Here we have another possible ghost picture for you to consider.
This photograph was sent in to us by a member of our forum who goes by the ID “Palerider”. The picture was taken in August of 2007 in a Virginia City, Nevada motel room.
Palerider said, “My wife and I were looking at our images and came across this one that looked odd. The more I looked at it the more convinced I am I captured something. In addition to the shadow figure look at the smaller cropped image. It looks like a second spirit/ghosts face is present.
I lightened the cropped image a bit to highlight what I believe is a face. A couple of things of note on this image for you to consider:
1) The shadow appears to be solid, hides the chair and does not follow the shape of the drapes.
2) The shadow is not present in the mirror to the right.”
So what do you think? Could this be a ghost in this Virginia City motel?

I would say, isn’t it freaky to think about what is surrounding you, and you don’t even know it? That is really strange reminds me of the movie room 1408!
That isn’t just any spiret that’s a shadow demon spiret be carful it can show you the worst things imaginable.

I kinda see the face too, but I think that part must be coincidental. It’s not clear enough to actually label it as a face but whatever.
The rest of the picture is very intriguing. Perhaps whoever is “haunting” that room used to work at the motel.
Or maybe (s)he got bored and came to rest
Karen M the movie 1408 is awesome. I didnt sleep good for a week after that one lol. As for the pics way freaky. Im never staying in a hotel again,I will just live in my semi for the rest of my life. Thanks lol.

I am a believer, but I am very skeptical. This could be a spirit, but it is more then likely a camera malfuntion
The dark shadow looks like a woman with beautiful, long hair sitting in the chair. Standing behind her, behind the chair, looks to be a young girl in a short-sleeved, light colored dress with a dark band, or ribbon, around the waist.

I was Watching A ghost Hunting show before and one of the guys puts a glass cup on the desk by the bed that he is going to sleep ‘cuz they said that room was the most haunting in this really old “haunting” motel. and he putted the camera like a few feet away from the glass and the next day They watch it and The glass Actually Moves without anyone touching it. Creepy.
I gotta say if this isnt a shadow person caught on film then I think its an excellent forgery, this is EXACTLY what shadow people look like!

The show was Ghosthunters and it was at the Stanely Hotel in Colorado and the glass broke and the closet door opened and closed on it’s own, which they got on tape. VERY creepy!
What hotel? I’m staying at the Silver Queen next week. eeek!

I live 30 minutes from Virginia City Nevada and I know of many many ghost stories of this historical city. And yes Rosemary there is ghosts at the Silver Queen without a doubt by the way. =). This is a very good picture and I agree it is definitely an entity. I’m hoping to get a chance to go to the Goldfield Hotel soon, which isn’t too far from Virginia City, and have a look around. As I recall you have to get special permission from the owner to be on the property, but they are said to be hospitable people so hopefully a letter to them requesting passage will get me in. Goldfield Hotel is one of the most haunted places in world if memory serves.

that pic is just creepy it look like it is looking in the camra and it looks as if it is caseing someone to warn them of someting.

I dont think that it is a spirit i beleive its the curtains and the light in the room thats just my oppinion but it may be something more ,than what i see .

Hi everyone! I jsut had the most freaky exp. While i was reading this post, my office phone ( I work as a CSR for a store credit card) just started a really weird noise. It beeps right before a call enters my headset. And it just started making a weird noise that completelly freaked me out! Wow thats weird
I say it could be fake it probuly is and I dont belive that is real I will have to see to belive but right now at this very second I think it is FAKE with all caspitals!
I looked at the picture interesting… does remind me of shadow people. cool! I have seen them from time to time.

Sorry Tammymom I was just taken back by your comment it made me look again and all I can see is a shadow I shouldn’t of said that! maybe you are a medium and can pick up on the spirits forgive me I am getting tired.

That is really creepy, i believe the pic looks like a female with long hairs trying too peep through the curtain.
thats so freaky. I find this site interesting as before I was reading E.V.P, Electronic Voice Phenomenon, which I learned about thru the film White Noise. I heard examples of recording and that is just as scary as this picture. ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I have to say, I am very intrigued by the picture. So intrigued that I had it printed and the truth is to me it looks like nothing more than a shadow casted. If you look closely there is a mirror on the night table which could of easily casted a shadow. I also believe that Danielle may have been correct. I have taken many pictures with my digital and I get very dark shadows in certain areas when one part of the room is darker than the other. The picture is eerie and i can see why it would be so easy to be convinced. One more thing that makes me skeptical is the fact that it was lightened. A touched up photo could never convince me. I have studied the paranormal for years and I find that many pictures more so stills could very easily be changed. I am not saying that this picture is a hoax, but it most certainly doesn’t convince me.

I read ur story n also saw the picture.But in the last picture as i saw the other face exactly below the circle where u have figured out,to ur right side.its a face which i can see,eyes,nose,lips n is looking like a girls face.n i n m not sure about ur picture which u hv send,so sorry fr tht.
Virginia City , Nevada is knon to be extremly haunted., A show called “Ghost Adventures” stayed in that town for 2 days and were impressed by what they found. The “Washoe Club” is supposed to be the most haunted.

…I can see how you think there’s a face beside the mass. I think it’s just the floral design of the drapes messing with the eyes. Film gets grainy when you blow it up.
