Uncle Phil’s Ghost Watches Over My Dad

Posted on February 8, 2008

In January 2006 my dad had a blood clot removed from his brain which was causing him to have mild speech strokes. After he got out of the hospital my girlfriend came to stay with us for two weeks. I have put stories on here before and do believe that ghosts exist.

My girlfriend, who has a gift for seeing ghosts, told me one night that she saw a white figure standing outside my dad’s bedroom. She got scared and I held her for a little bit until the scare went away. I told her it was probably either my grandpa or one of my dad’s brothers. I am LDS and believe that it is natural for deceased family to watch over their living loved ones. So I went on not worrying about it.

One and a half years later we were talking about it and she said, she still couldn’t figure out why the ghost was bent over as it was looking in my dad’s room. When she said that she immediately got my attention. I stood up and bent over at a 45 degree angle and I said to her did it look like this? She said exactly like that. It hit me close to home and I just got real quiet and my eyes became watery.  She asked, what’s the matter? I said nothing. I just don’t want to say anything right now.

She respected what I said and was quiet for a couple of minutes and then she said I just heard a man’s voice come to me and say my name is Phillip. I looked at her and couldn’t help but cry. I said that’s my uncle Phil that was watching over him. She told me that she felt his presence at my mom and dad’s new house in Oklahoma.

I told her that late at night my dad’s dog (Chihuahua) was sitting on the arm of the chair that I was sitting in and she was facing toward the big family room. I started to notice that she began to move her head back and forth as though she was watching someone move. She did this for about 10 minutes. I looked back after about the first five and saw nothing, and then again after the next five and saw nothing again. I got up turned off the TV and went to bed.

I told my mom about it the next day. She said the dog was walking down the hall one day, my mom behind her, the dog stopped and looked up as if someone was there standing in the hallway. The dog kept her eye on it then moved over next to the wall as if to walk around what was there and just kept walking. My mom thought it was funny and kept walking back to her room.

She also told me that my dad said every now and then something wakes him up by tickling his feet. He puts on his glasses and no one is in there. The man has no fear, so he thinks to himself what ever it is, seems to be nice.

Well I know in my heart now that what was in California looking in his bedroom and is now in Oklahoma tickling his feet and letting people know that he’s there through the actions of the dog is my uncle Phil my dad’s brother and best friend.
