In 2008, my family and I moved into a home that was built sometime in the late 1920′s to the early 1930′s.
When we moved in we knew than an older lady had lived there for most of her life and had died just a few years before. When we bought the house we had no reason to suspect that it would be haunted in anyway. It wasn’t until we had moved in that we started noticing strange things.
Within a few short weeks of moving into the house my mother and her partner woke in the middle of the night to the sound of two voices that they did not recognize talking outside of their bedroom window. It was the voice of an older woman and also of a man. One of the voices sounded as though it didn’t mind us living in the house, saying “they’re ok, leave them be,” whilst the other voice wasn’t too happy with us being there.
My mother and her partner both got out of bed and looked through the window. The voices stopped and there was no-one to be seen. He then went outside to check the backyard – still no-one to be found.
It was not until a few weeks later that my sister started complaining about hearing the voice of a young girl. She said that the girl would just be screaming, extremely high pitched. No matter how loud my sister turned her music, she could still hear the voice of the girl. This became a regular occurrence. My sister, obviously very frightened, didn’t know about the voices heard a few weeks earlier. My mum decided to keep her from the truth, telling her that the voice she was hearing was the young girl who lived next door (when in fact their was no young girl!).
As the weeks progressed, several sightings of an older woman walking through a doorway in the kitchen occurred. She appeared as an apparition, slightly transparent, however she always disappeared very quickly. My mother, now firmly believing that their was a presence in the house, decided to visit a clairvoyant. The clairvoyant immediately told her that the home in which she was living was not good for her daughters well being. She said that their were three spirits in the home, two of them malevolent. She also said that one was a young girl, one an older woman and one a middle aged man. She gave my mother some instructions to say to the ghost of the young girl in my sisters room in the hope of removing her.
When they said these words in my sisters room, both my mother and my sister were confronted with high pitched screaming. My mum blocked my sister’s ears but it was clear that it was the voice of a little girl, screaming at the top of her lungs when their was no little girl nearby.
My mum spoke to the man who had been living in the house prior to us moving in, and he said “oh yeah, there’s a couple of ghosts. An older woman and a man. They’re ok though.” He didn’t mention the young girl.
We have now moved out of the home and have not experienced any more signs of the ghosts since then.

The truth is always scary then fiction- Good story!
very cool they made themselves known so clearly and thats very scary thanks for the story and peace be with you all
That’s the same thing that happend in my house, the ghost very much wanted their presence to be knowen!
Scary story
I hate it when malevolent spirits enter my house!!
The others are great company but
Oh my. I wouldn’t have minded the man or the woman…but the little girl *no offence* sounded like a brat. Okay, here is my guess:
There was a family that lived together, it may have been a grandmother and father/older brother and a daughter/little sister. It may have been that either the little girl didn’t want your sister in her room because it was once “hers” or maybe she couldn’t find anyone she knew, it could be that she thought she was incounted by strangers, (she was kind-of) or maybe she was upset she was dead/a ghost.
Please tell me what you think~

GOOD STORIE, WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE SOME MORE HISTORY ON THE HOUSE AND SPIRIT
OMG that’s the scariest thing i’ve ever read – goosebumps all over. That mum sounds like she was trying to do all the right things – is the daughter ok now or did the ghosts wreck her? Do you know if the people who bought the house are also being haunted? That is such a good story.
