Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I’ve read many ghost stories on this website already and most of them talk about shadows. Well my story too talks about shadows. It was in my old villa, which me and my family had just moved out a couple of months ago. We’ve lived there for more than four years and three members of my family out of four have seen a shadow passing. (The only person who didn’t see the shadow was my dad who was most of the time working oversees.)

The first time it was seen by me. It was already dark outside and I was in my room playing on my computer. I was about to go to the toilet and when I got up a shadow suddenly ran across the corridor passing in front of my door, and it seemed as if it came from my sister’s room which was just next to my room, but I knew that that shadow wasn’t her since I heard her typing on her computer from outside her room. I knew it wasn’t my mom since she was downstairs cooking and it could not my dad since he was working oversees again. After that I started to believe even more in ghosts than I already believed in.

The second time it was seen by my mom. It was late at night, me, my sister and my dad went out eating while my mom stayed at home because she had a slight fever. She was sleeping soundly when suddenly for no reason she woke up, so she sat up and when she sat up, a shadow ran past her and out through the closed door. My mom thought it was just her imagination since she was really tired and had a slight fever, but I don’t think so.

The third time it was my sister who saw it. That night, my sister was at home alone, so she invited some of her friends home since they lived just a couple of blocks away. They played till really late, maybe midnight, then they went. While her friends were going, my sister turned and was outside bidding them goodbye. When she turned around she could see a shadow walking down the stairs because the stairs at our old house had a long thin window which goes all the way from up to down, so my sister thought that someone had to still come out so she went in to check, but when she went to check there was no one there.

When we finally moved out of the house, something which I was really looking forward to, I told my dad about my experience, and he just laughed it off since he learned a little about psychology when he was young. He said that its impossible that it was a ghost and that it was just my imagination because I read and many ghost stories since I am really interested in occult stuff, ghost stories and unnatural events. Seeing that he didn’t believe me, I told him as well about my sister’s and my mom’s experience and he said that it was just their imagination cause they were too tired. Yeah, who would believe a 13-year-old-girl’s ghost stories? So when I discovered this website I was really excited because at least here, some people might believe me.

This was not the only not normal thing that happened to me. It was still in the villa, and not only once, I would here a sharp soprano voice calling me by my nickname, which only members of my family or close friends of my family knew, and whenever I replied no one answered back, so after a while I started to ignore the calling. And now that I think about it, I’ve moved house many times, and the all strange thing only happened in THAT villa…
