I remember this, it happened when I was little, I was nine. I remember it so clearly because it scared me so much. Our house was, at that time, in an un-developed area. There were woods all around our house, but the tree’s didn’t grow in one area, a lot., no trees would grow there. I planted a few, but they died. As a child this interested me, and I loved to go there at night with my friends. We would sneak out of the house, and go to the lot and play.
Well, one time, I looked, and at the edge of the lot, there was this freakish looking scarecrow that I’d never seen before. It’s body was made out of dark, slender sticks, the sticks were bound with twine or something. Its face… hollow, it had no eyes, just empty holes. Well, one of my friends called my name, so I looked away, I looked back, and it wasn’t there. I looked all around, about an hour later, when we were going back to the house, I looked back, and it was watching us go, from a different spot.
About a week later, I went there alone, it was about mid-day. I took a book and a soda, and I was reading, but then looked up, as I do from time to time when I am reading, and there about 5 feet from me, was the scarecrow, I ran. I kept on looking back, and seeing it, it was after me. I ran all the way to the backyard, through our gate, and into the house.
I didn’t go back alone into that lot and over the next few weeks I would look out the window, and right on the other side of the fence, would be the scarecrow, not in the same place. The strange thing is, it had no legs, it just had, a kind of stick that came down to the ground. It was, a very basic thing, but, no one else would see it, whenever I asked.
About 3 years ago, the area around the lot, was developed with houses, but that lot is still vacant, and the trees still don’t grow, and I refuse to go back. I have seen the scarecrow since then, but always close to the lot, when I’ve been driving past it in my car. It still creeps me out, but no harm has come to me, but I try not to think about it.

When you say it was coming after you, was it flying or something? You say it had no legs so how was it moving?
Re-appearing in a different space closer to you, instead of flying?
Or hopping?
it was just like appearing and reappearing, it was strange. it was scary, still gives me goose bumps, and i was hoping that someone might could shed some light on what it is/was for me.
That is scary… dang. I hate scarecrows, they freak me out.. i kept thinking it was like the one that came out on the movie jeepers creepers, and that scares the crap out of me. ok well im glad that nothing happen to you. dont ever go back.
That is so wierd because we had woods behind out house too and right down the middle of the woods was a grass road it was very strange.

I’m SORRY Joe but that was a logical question that blue jay asked. You know many times when only one person see’s something it’s because they were the only one meant to see it!

It seems that you were seeing it with your mind’s eye. (I know- sometimes it’s very hard to tell what the difference is) But, because it was so basic and the fact that no-one else has seen it, it would be a Psychic connection. The spirit has shown you a representation of itself- If others within the same time period, had been shown the same scarecrow, they would know who it belonged to. Thus, making you aware of it’s presence, means the spirit is reveling itself to you- Why the scarecrow? who knows…maybe it’s the last thing the “person” made before death -or- the last thing it had seen. That question is endless….but, the spirit connected to you…
if it was going to hurt you- it would have already. More then likely, because you could see, it was simply trying to make contact. Scary, yes….but that’s what happens sometimes. So, keep in there.
Perhaps the scarecrow was possessed?
Most likely explanation is that it was being animated through some unseen person at a distance through some satanic magic.
As ludicrous as it sounds, what you’ve described is similar to actual police reports on this sort of stuff.
The animation of inanimate objects such as scarecrows through dark magic is not unheard of.

Alpha, are you talking about police who see phantom cars? I’ve heard of this and saw a video on a u-tube. It’s true why do some things manifest themselves in front of certain people and not others?

Can you describe the video you saw? I might have seen it too and i know the one i saw is legit.
Bracket,the one I saw was of a police car cahsing a car it was speeding and then all of the sudden it turned and didn’t crash into a fence but completly disappeared.
ok let”s try this over if not ghost will insult me for my English, the video that i saw was a police car chasing a speeder, they followed him for some time and after the car turned towards a fenced in area but when the car hit the gate it vanished
The one i saw is very similiar in that instead of just disappearing, the car was seen driving away on the other side of the fence and i know for a fact that that one is real.
Yeah me too I don’t think the one I saw was fake either.
