The Returning Nightmare

Posted on May 22, 2010

OK, I’m 19 and all my life I have seen things that I should not see. Me and three of my sisters, its five of us and now one of my brothers its three of them eight of us in total. Some people call it a gift, I call it a curse.

So about 4 years ago I stop being in touch with God like how I used to be. I was 16 when I had the first dream. I woke up from my sleep and I don’t know why but my heart was racing and I felt so scared more scared than I have ever been and I felt like there was something holding me down so I started to move. I couldn’t! I tried to scream to my sister laying in the bed next to me I couldn’t so I started to pray to God and ask for help and as soon as I did it was over and I felt like everything was normal.

I didn’t have the dream for a whole two years, this time I was in my own room. I always sleep with my light on because my mom told me that evil dwells in the dark. I was laying in bed on my tummy when I woke up to the same thing but this time I was not in my body I was over it looking down at me. When this demon grabbed me (the me hovering over me) and pulled me into the closet and was trying to take over me I was fighting it and praying to the good lord and it released me and I went back to my body to have it follow me and jump on my body and try to enter me. I started to pray again and tried to yell no but I couldn’t. I tried to move but I couldn’t. It took me four times before I could yell no but when I did it was over.

Recently I moved into my own house with my two year old daughter. The second month of living there my friend Sara came and spent the night with her daughter, she’s four. Now you know how I say I never sleep in the dark well for some reason I turned my light off bad move. I awoke to the same thing but now I’m not scared any more because I know that the lord is not going to let that thing get me. But this time it was different. That thing came as my sister and I invited in my room as it got close to me I saw what it was. It was the same thing that has been haunting my dreams and me. The same thing that pulled me into the closet and tried to get into my body but as soon as I saw what it was it saw me raised up out of me and chase it out of my room and down the stairs as it ran down it looked back it me and laughed and smiled.

I know, it is funny how those who choose not to believe in god call out his name for help when ever something goes bad..

And as for you feeling as though your being held down has nothing to do with the paranormal, what your experiencing is called sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis happens too everyone & can be quiet scary for those first timers. It’s when your body just loses all control to move an it can feel as though your being pinned down by something/somebody. And sometimes it causes hallucinations.

And as for you waking up to the same thing, then looking down at your body also has nothing to do with the paranormal. It’s called an OBO other wise known as out of body experience. It too happens to people. Why I have no idea.

And as for evil dwelling in the darkness, everything in your house is the same as it is when it’s in the light.. There’s nothing in the dark that can hurt you. Though it can be a little frighting when your in the dark because you can’t see anything but there’s no difference between light and dark really. Just because it’s dark doesn’t mean something good can’t lurk in the darkness.

I myself prefer to sleep in the dark I can’t sleep with the light on it bugs me. I used to sleep with a night light but I grew out of that phase.

Anyways, you can’t always live in fear that something bad will happen your just getting yourself all paranoid. Stop worrying about what’s in the dark and what’s not in it. Nothing is going to hurt you, if you feel that scared then just go to a church and speak to a priest about coming out to your place where you live at now and have him bless it.

I’m not trying to sound mean but worrying yourself like this over nothing is getting you all paranoid.

    Dear BossyLady,
This is clearly a case of sleep paralysis. While these experiences may be scary, sleep paralysis is really just a medical condition, when you think you are awake but you are really still sleeping. Also, dreams really cannot be considered paranormal because they are simply the brain’s functions while you are at rest.
