The Perfect Soldier

Posted on August 22, 2009

I only wish I could call this a fictional story.  Sadly this is the true story of my possession and one experience I will never forget.

A perfect soldier is all that I have ever wanted to be. Since I was young I had always dreamed to serve my country as a Canadian Forces officer. So you could imagine my thrill when I was finally accepted into the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. Four years of hard work would turn me into a great soldier and a fantastic leader.  Who knew that it would all go so wrong?

My squadmates and I never got along it seemed. I was always the black sheep of the group, always the one who screwed up (or at least got blamed for it). My roommate was no help either. Anything he did wrong could be easily passed to me for the blame after all I was the “screw up”. It always seemed as if I had a dark cloud of bad luck hovering over me as every day something always seemed to go wrong for the first few months of my training. Why was nothing going right for me? I wanted this more then anyone!

Isolation and rejection is a terrible burden on any man. I was subjected to the taunts and idle threats from my many of my squadmates on a daily basis it seemed. With only a few friends to rely on I fell deeper into the pit.  It finally got the best of me and I asked for assistance one night to show them all! I got my wish, and I would regret it ever since.

Later that evening I heard it, a loud deep voice in my head. He told me to get up and when I refused a force pulled me from the bunk and threw me to the ground. The unseen voice controlled my body and forced me to do pushups even after my arms grew weak and my body ached. He claimed that he was sent to turn me into the perfect soldier to take my vengeance upon those who taunted me. Finally after what seemed like hours the presence left my body and I fainted on the floor. This was only the first visit from the spirit.

The routine continued every night from then on.  =The presence grew stronger every night and could control me with more ease. He began to be more violent with his suggestions as well. How we could deal with those who did not believe in my abilities. He would demand me to attack my squadmates at random periods of the day, when I refused he punished me harder for not being a willing vessel. The infested spirit began forcing me to act out, threaten those who tried to go against me, even talk back against my superiors. I knew this nightmare had to end.

After discussion with the social worker whom I had been seeing but never revealed my guest’s presence due to fear of ridicule, he agreed to let me voluntarily put myself in the mental health ward at the local hospital. Hopefully being away from the environment that fed him would destroy the entity I thought. I thought wrong. Even with the drugs, cheerful nurses, and other patients the “voice” as I called him still remained. Speaking vile words against everyone including me though without the ones he vowed to harm around his physical attacks ceased. I was finally able to sleep.

One night two of my squadmates paid a visit to me in the hospital. A kind gesture even though I assume they were ordered to but kind none the less. The “voice” awoke again after they left and it is as if just the sight of them could give him back his strength. He pulled me to the ground and forced me to train yet again. This time however I would not go without a fight.

I concentrated and fought hard enough that I seemed to have pulled myself out of reality. In this dark void stood a shadowy version of myself with bright red eyes that seemed to burn like fire. I screamed at him to leave me at once! He just laughed and told me that his damage is done for now and he will depart from his control, but he will never leave my body. I was suddenly thrown back into reality and as if a blind was opened on the world everything seemed a bit brighter and happier. I had beaten him… at least in this battle.

One week later I was released from the hospital and returned to RMC. After several months of meetings and paperwork I was allowed to leave the military and return to my home. He still speaks to me on occasion but without my stresses, isolation, and anger the “voice” doesn’t have the power to control me anymore and for that I am thankful. The fact that he still remains is scary but I can control him now in the dormant state so I am without anxiety. I guess the moral of my tale is that you must be careful when you ask for assistance from the spirits. You never know who will answer your plea.

It probably left when you decided to resist because it had been trying to train you and when it thought you were strong enough because you could get rid of it. Ummm. . . good story

That is sad that you hade to give up your dream of being a soldier! But, I don’t really understand how you got the demon, did you make a pact, or hold some type of ritual? I understand how you can just ask for a demon and it will come, just like that! Reminds me of that short story by Stephen King………………….”you can call them, get them to do your evil work, you can even get rid of them……………….but sometimes they come back!”

P.S. Why don’t alot of people vote on the stories? I gave you 5 stars!

Jesue my friend the only way to get rid of it is to accept Jesus, invite the Holy Spirit into your heart and the evil will be expelled. It’s miniscule power is no match for God Almighty. Once you invite Jesus to live in your heart and give your life to Him the evil can never return unless you willfully invite it. This is a matter of eternity that you are dealing with not just your current existence on earth. Get a Bible and consentrate on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and you will discover that God loves you as an individual and who you are, He hates our sin but loves us. Just like you committed your self to evil, you must committ yourself to love and goodness and live the life that God intended for you to live in the beginning. Jesus bore your sins, your shame, your pain, every little disappointment he suffered on the cross so that you would not have to, all you have to do is pray and say, I am yours Lord.
