It's like they are trying to brainwash us to equate the two. One thing that has always held true is that the american media are the biggest propaganda slingers in the world, it's like how we have milatary channel and discovery channel showing off new american technology all the time, but the trick is that there is much newer tech that they don't show us, why? So that any enemy or rival will expect one thing and get another. What has me a little scared is the weapons and tech that we do see on tv are pretty impressive, and an impressive weapon is an extremely deadly weapon. Now they're working on making robotic exoskeleton battle gear, they probably already have models that are ready and working. What I have to ask is what happens when our people won't be able to fight back against the govt. if the need occurs, because in the current situation if the govt. wanted to pull something, we would be almost powerless against them. Also you mention their funding, considering the weight of the situation it wouldn't take much persuasion for them to get as much funding as they need from anywhere they my seek it. I know that if I was extremely wealthy and the american govt. came to me with a proposition like safety during doomsday I might take such a thing considering that the govt. could just take everything from me anyways. Them all dressing the same, acting in strange ways and going out to talk to these people give more interest to the phenomena than just sitting back and doing nothing. The thing is that they arent stupid (well most of them) and i think they know it would be causing more problems than it's worth. I believe that the government is more then willing to orchestrate certain situations and attacks to gain political or patriotic support, but never would my mind have considered the extent of their willingness to such an extent as you have.
