Since he didn't do nothing but look at you I don't think he was there to harm you. The light all around it too was for you to know that this was a good being. I also think that had the angel appeared in your room that too would have been too much for you. "what" her parents asked......my daughter died many years ago....... Also children have their senses undistorted and are more susceptible to living these sort of experiences so i would believe if a kid tells me that there's a man standing on a ladder more than i would an older person. The type of colors he/it was wearing makes me think of church (purple stoles priests use during lent) and the fact that it had light surrounding him makes him seem a more peaceful sighting.
