I contracted a job in Enid Oklahoma to renovate a building. Some of my friends were helping me and we all moved into this building for a discounted rate. There were like 4 bedrooms, a huge living area, and a big storage warehouse built on this property. It was ideal for us, as we were in a new town and the place was big enough for us to move our families into. There was about 6 adults and a 5 year old little girl who all moved in. It wasn’t long before weird things began to happen.
The landlord was an old Chinese lady who straight out told me there was a ghost there. I shrugged it off, but at night everyone started to hear noises. The floors were old and warped in areas. When you walked through the living areas you could hear the floors creaking as the weight shifted wherever you stepped. We all heard this creaking late at night and it sounded like someone was walking across the rooms, but no one was there. Doors would open all by themselves. You could actually see the doorknobs being turned, then the door would squeak open sometimes slow, other times quickly. This scared us tremendously!
While pulling up the carpet one day we noticed a trap door. We opened it up and there was a crawl space with about 8 or so old dolls sitting in a circle around a Ouija board. They had to have been there a very long time, and we all looked at each other like what the hell is going on here! A couple if the dolls had been positioned in a manner where they were “looking up” from the crawl space. We began to feel very uncomfortable there, and this strange circle of dolls around an old Ouija Board was one of the freakiest things I have ever seen.
One of my friends grabbed the Ouija Board, and I grabbed the dolls to get a better look. They were the porcelain type, and several of them looked oriental. Amongst the dolls were cobwebs, and newspaper that had been shredded into what appeared to be a rats nest. Several of the dolls had clothes that were also shredded from the bites of rodents. I stashed the dolls in a box all on top of each other except for one who caught the eye of the little girl staying with us. She started talking to it, and became quite attached to this odd doll.
A couple of nights after finding the trap door we invited some friends over for a get together. We were all discussing the strange noises and I told everyone that the landlord had told us there was a ghost in the building. My friends girlfriend suggested we get on the Ouija Board and ask it if there indeed was a ghost. So me and her made a centerpiece out of an old cassette tape case, and everyone gathered around as she asked if there was a ghost living here. The plastic case moved immediately to yes. Then a door opened down the hall, and we heard what sounded like footsteps coming towards us. Everyone was quite shocked by this, and my friend walked down the hall to see what was going on, but again no one was there.
Little Jodie put her doll next to the Ouija Board and the board spelled H.O.G. over and over. Then it spelled A.T.T.I.C……I asked if we should look into the Attic and it quickly scooted to yes. We located the Attic door in one of the bedrooms, and set up an 8 foot step ladder. I had an uneasy feeling as I removed the heavy entrance panel, and had someone hand me a flashlight to see up into the darkness. I peeked my head up into the Attic and will never forget what I saw!
I almost fell off the ladder I was so startled to see a weird face as I shined the flashlight towards it. Big eyes that were crossed, a pig snout, and a big tongue hanging out. At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but there it was, a huge piggy bank!
You should have seen the looks on everyone’s faces as I came back down holding the strangest piggy bank you ever seen. The face although scary looking, was also comical. The piggy bank was bright pink, heavy ceramic, and around it’s neck was a barrel necklace that said “Porko The Pig.” Instead of Porky, this was some evil cousin of sorts. It still had the perforations intact at the bottom, and contained no money, just empty, and very menacing looking.
I sat the piggy bank next to the eerie doll, and the Ouija Board. And everyone was silent, we all couldn’t believe what had just happened. One girl left immediately and accused me of choreographing the whole incident, but I didn’t. We again put our hands on the Ouija Board and we asked if the piggy bank had something to do with the ghost, to which it went to yes. It spelled “Belongs to “Cho.” We asked who was Cho, and it spelled “Dead Boy.” We asked if Cho was the ghost, and of course it again went to yes.
The room was still silent, and everyone’s nerves were on edge. The sight of that weird piggy bank, and the old Chinese doll was straight out of a Hollywood horror flick, and were the unscripted cast. I asked if Cho wanted the piggy bank back into the Attic, and it went to yes. I took some change out of my pocket, and dropped it into the empty tummy of Porko The Pig. I returned him back into the darkness of his Attic, and that is where it remains to this day. I have scoured the internet looking for other pictures of this piggy bank, and I have never seen one like it anywhere.
The next time I saw the landlady, I asked if she had ever heard of Cho, and she gave me a second take, and a puzzled look. Cho was her great Uncle’s son, and he died of leukemia as a young child. This building had been in her family for generations. She asked me how I knew, and I smiled and said “The Ghost told me.”
We finished remodeling that place, and we all moved out a few months later. The old Chinese woman came over and showed us all a picture of Cho, and he looked just like the little boy on The Grudge. I gave her the box of dolls, and she told us that he was very fond of them. We never told her about the pig, we were just glad to get the hell out of there.

spooky and scary.
i too have a true ghostly incident that occured with me
I held my breath all through the story! Very bizarre but very believable indeed!
GoOd job,man!
A girl named Jodie, a hidden room, and a haunted PIGGY bank…
I’m sorry, but it sounds to me like someone’s seen a bit to much Amityville.
Nice story. Usually i question most of the stories on here, using occams razor, but this is pretty believable.
That is scary. man
im sorry like but so beliveable
i think that to.. UFAlien. sounds the plot to A SCARY MOVIE
hmm. maybe the ghost is Cho himself and he’s the one haunted the doll, because the the doll might which the little girl talk to might have a spirit possessed it. so the one who talks to you must be Cho himself possessed the doll.
i don’t think he’s evil. just “naughty” for making noises and moving about when you were all sleeping. he might just want to talk to you. well, that’s my opinion, no offence and i believe your story
MELLISA NOTHING YOU JUST SAID MAKES SENSE TO ME! AND IM NOT ONE TO DISCREDIT ANYONES STORIES BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN THINGS THAT PEOPLE WOULD FLAT OUT CALL ME A LIAR FOR TELLING BUT I HAVE A HARD TIME BELIEVING THIS ONE. IM JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHY EVERYTIME SOMEONE TELLS A STORY OR SHOWS A PIC OF OA LITTLE BOY GHOST THE LAST FEW YEARS IT ALWAYS LOOKS LIKE THE GRUDGE BOY? ISNT THAT ONE A LITLLE OVERPLAYED?????????
poor boy. i feel soooo sorry 4 him. im glad he is at pease now.
Maecille,
not everything in this world that’s hard to believe or doesn’t make sense are not true, you knew it too.
there’re lots of things that beyond our understanding.
about the picture that look like the boy in “grudge” maybe it because cho looks like a pale white and mysterious asian boy like the one in the movie? i have no idea about that pic.
about my last comment, i dont know which part doesnt make sense to you, but i thought the ghost possessing the doll because the o’ board seemed to move frantically when the little girl put the doll beside it. moreover, the girl is attached and talks to it. some of the kids imaginary friends can be children ghosts that only can be seen or heard by those kids. well, it’s my conclusion after read some other stories in this website
i do believe , my grampa out in illinois when i was a child brung home 2 black horse head book ends from a house that was just destroyed, no sooner than he took them into the main house, weird noises, etc, so we quickly put them down in the basement, and so did the disturbances go there too, but they were calmer, but he most definately brung something or someone with those horse heads, this was in the mid 60′s, no joke. michael
this story seemed totally bogus..didnt buy any of its
“Cho, and he looked just like the little boy on The Grudge” im sorry but that kinda funny (no offense) , good story
