My mom and i where even part of the church in a way, a few years ago, when i was a little healthier.... we ran the food pantry, once a week, and we also where involved in a ladies bible study group...... we consider that our church,, although, we are not members...... My sister has been very blessed by her church and her church friends...... she was even a deacon for 3 years!!! i know if the church where closer to us, we would probably go more often,, my hubby also loves the church...... you see, i have allowed my illnesses to slow me down,, but,, i have put all of my energy into helping my mom, since my dad died 6 years ago.... now,, in a funny sort of way,,,, the retirment home is like church to me.... i will be going back to spend the night on Wednesday, as i have a neuro. appoint. in the afternoon, which is only a block from mom's apartment.... you see, when i go to my doc,, i am usually there for hours,, it will probably be late before i am able to leave her office, by then, i will be to tired to drive home..... which is only a 30 minute drive.. i dont drive much any more..... i will go early so i can have lunch with mom in the dining room and see everyone!!! the people are so sweet, and many dont have any family close by.. some do,, but never see them..... i just love all of the hugs,, and i love you's.... i have never expereinced such love before..... my mom is helping others every day..... her heart is so much bigger than mine..... just when i thought my life was over,,, it all opened up again!! now,, thats God for ya!!!! luv ya hun,,,,,,, ktm hi Darstarr,, good to see you hun,,,, oh,, i do visit my sisters church now and then, and she has a wonderful pastor,, he has really come through for our family, many times, and the people that go to that church are some of the best in the world…… in my case,, i have a hard time with trust, after what i have been through……

When i met my hubby, he had been going to a church for many years,, i hate to say this, but,,, he had been brainwashed,, big time.... he had not attended the church in over 6 months, but was still sending a huge chunk of money to them every month.. he and his kids suffered,, they wore rags, had no money... i asked,, why??? he told me that if he didnt send the money, that god would not be there for him... i finally, over time, convinced him that was a lot of bologna!!!!!!!!!!! i told him,, a good Chistian helps others in many ways,, and they can give to the church, nothing wrong with that, but not enough to make a house payment!!!!! hubby has learned through me, what it is to be kind, and give... we have been blessed in many ways with a nice home,, but,, we have both worked our buns off for it also... we do give to many charities,, money,, food, clothing,, furniture,, appliances... and so on.....we are also there for others,,,,, we give of ourselves....... to me,, that is being a Christian... oh boy,, will i get flack for saying all of this,,lol...... remember,,,, just my opinion!!! we all have one...... another thing!!!! i asked if anyone from this huge church of over 3000 members had contacted him, he said no..... i said,, so you could be dead, laying in a ditch, and no one would know.....6 months,, not one phone call.... wow,, those people must have had huge hearts.......
