Hunting Weekend and a Haunting in Scotland

The first thing you should know about my story, is that I was not the person who witnessed this event. My godfather told me this story:

When my godfather was young, he and his family were invited to come and spend the weekend at his uncle’s castle in Scotland, hunting.

It was a dark and rather stormy night (I know you hear that a lot, but it was) and the family had just come back from a day of hunting. Everyone was sitting in the drawing room, when suddenly the hounds started barking extremely loudly. After a great amount of persuasion, the dogs finally stopped barking but every single dog’s head turned from one way to the other, as if watching someone or something walking along the floor. Everyone in the room thought this was odd but still continued with the evening.

After awhile the family decided to take some pictures using my godfather’s and his brother’s cameras. So, my …

A Scottish Ghost Story

In January 2008 I took a course through my University where we got the opportunity to go to London and study Theatre. During our trip we were given a weekend off to do whatever we wanted. So a small group of us took a train up to Edinburgh. There was a total of four of us on this journey. Peter, Dante, Susan, and Myself.

When we arrived decided we would take a ghost tour. An idea I was totally for until we were reading the description of the tour we selected and a warning which read “you accompany this tour at your own risk.” But I figured I would be brave and we set off to find the starting point of the tour.

The tour was conducted in three stages, the first part outside a church, the second part in a cemetery, and the final part in “the Black Crypt.” The Church portion was about the history of Scotland and …

James the Womanizer Ghost

My father had worked for a large car company and sometimes he had to travel or we had to move a lot, sometimes overseas. It wasn’t easy and we didn’t always get to unpack, living out of boxes and suitcases was the norm as was home schooling.

Back in 1978, I had just turned 16 when my father told us of yet another move, this time to England, some where outside of London. Since my mom was from Scotland, I was excited at the thought of getting to see my grandparents more and spending more time with them.

The company found us a small cozy house that looked like it was a picture come to life. It was great and was said to be over 300 years old and that royalty had slept within its walls, pretty cool. That alone made the house all the more special. But, someone forgot to tell us it was haunted by a well know womanizer …

Paranormal Experience in Southern Hebredies of Scotland

As a child I lived on the Isle of Islay in the Southern Hebredies of Scotland. We left in 2000 but went back for a holiday in 2004, which is when I met my best friend Eila, my sister and her sister had been friends at school. We got extremely close in the week I was there and when I left we kept in close contact. I went for a visit without my parents or family to stay with her family for a week when my paranormal experience began.

Eila’s bedroom was in the attic, and as following tradition, this attic had a dam weird ghost. Eila still to this day knows nothing of this because well in my mind I’m sorry but she has to live there I really shouldn’t scare her. She fell asleep early the first night I got there but I just couldn’t sleep. I felt a breathe on my cheek as though someone was sleeping …
