Ghostly Visitor In Carrollton Kentucky

Hi my name is Brian, I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and this story happened to my sister in Kentucky in a town south of here called Carrollton. My sister was a nurse at a nursing home when she was 21 in 2002. She worked there with her friend April who she lived with in the country part of town down a two lane country road. Now the story is one winter night back in 2002.

My sister Michelle got off work about 8 pm and told her roommate, “hey I’m going home now so can you cover the rest of my shift till 8:30?” April replied, “yeah, but when I leave here I’m picking up Donald (April’s boyfriend) and I’ll see you at the trailer around 9:15″. My sister (Michelle) said, “ok see ya at home”. Now my sister lived off a country road down a gravel driveway about 80 feet to a white two bedroom trailer near some woods. …

Haunted House For Sale

I once lived, for a very short time, in a house haunted by ghosts. This house had been empty for a very long time. I don’t know for sure how long the house had been empty, but I do know that no one had lived in it for quite a few years.

It was a very beautiful three story house with a two room guest house and a big barn. It was located on the side of hill on a sparsely populated country road in south-eastern Kentucky. I had been living a few miles up the road and so I passed this house almost every day. For years there was a “For Sale” sign out front, but there never seemed to be a buyer.

I was working for a retired couple doing odd jobs. One day the old man made me an offer on the house. Until then I didn’t even know that he was the one who owned it. …

The Haunted Log Cabin

I live in a log cabin in Bell Subdivision in Monticello, Kentucky. I don’t know what year the house was built, but it’s pretty old.

The first time I ever experienced anything was when I was about 10 years old. My mom and I were laying in my bed one night and we were both sound asleep. I woke up because I needed to go to the bathroom. So I sat up in my bed and all of a sudden I heard what sounded like a harmonica playing and it sounded like it was coming from the living room. There was no one else in the house but me and my mom at the time, so needless to say, I was pretty scared.

The next day I talked to one of my mom’s friends and she told me that her kids grandpa had died in my house and that he had died in my bedroom. She also said that he …

Haunted House In Kentucky

When I was a little girl I used to live in Anaheim, California. Unfortunately, my father lost his job as a producer for movies. It was about a few months later that my grandmother died and had left him her house. Our whole family moved in straight away because we had no attachments in California anymore.

When we moved in it was quite a big house for Kentucky so of course me and my sister were excited to be moving in. We chose our rooms and we ended up choosing two rooms next to each other. There was a dumbwaiter from the kitchen to our hall.

Two nights into us living there things started to get a bit strange, like the stairs made sounds, not creaks but actually like someone was walking up and down them, the windows would open and close when there was no wind, my sister swore she saw her dolls fly across the bedroom, the dumbwaiter …

Haunted House in Louisa Kentucky

Submitted to us by Mandy

This story is very true. My Aunt had moved into a house in Louisa Kentucky, it was beautiful.

One summer I went up there to visit her and my cousins. When I got there my cousins were in school, so I was helping my aunt clean her living room. Well, she was dusting the TV and the pictures on top of the TV.

When we were done we went into the kitchen to get a snack and a drink. After I had gotten my drink I followed my aunt back into the living room. When I looked up the pictures we had just got done cleaning were all laying in the floor and some were even laying on the couch. We just looked at each other. They were all laying face down so you couldn’t see the picture. So we picked them back up and sat down and finished our snack.

While we were sitting …

Waverly Hills Sanitarium The Haunted Hospital

Waverly Sanitorium Haunted HospitalOne of the most well known haunted “hot” spots is the Waverly Hills Sanitarium in Louisville, Kentucky. Back in the early 1900′s the Louisville area was experiencing the highest rate of tuberculosis infections in the country.

Most patients who went to the Waverly Hills Sanitarium were doomed to stay there until their death. The bodies of the dead were transported through tunnels to the bottom of the hill from where they were taken away and burned.

After the discovery of the tuberculosis vaccine the Waverly Hills Sanitarium was closed down. It was converted into a convalescence home in 1962 but was closed due to alleged abuse of patients in 1982.

There have been many reports or paranormal activity at the old hospital including multiple sightings of an elderly lady running from the hospital bleeding and begging for help. Spooky indeed!

This building has been featured on programs like Scariest Places On Earth, Ghost Hunters, and the Celebrity Paranormal Project.

Haunted Log Cabin Antique Store in Morehead Ky

My wife and I visited an old log cabin in Morehead Kentucky this past weekend. This log cabin was used many years ago as an antique store. The people who owned it also lived there. According to a lot of stories I have heard the place is haunted. Supposedly a multiple murder happened there some years back involving an axe.

According to the ‘story’ a woman and either her daughter or niece was attacked there. The woman was murdered, hacked to death with an axe. The daughter’s (or niece’s) son had made a dash to the bathroom and climbed out the window and ran for help.

His mother survived, but just barely. The people haven’t opened the old shop since. This story was on America’s most wanted because the murderer was wanted in several states.
