I’d like to say firstly that these accounts are one hundred percent true. Don’t believe me? That’s your problem, not mine.
When I was two,(1997/8), my sister says I went into our parents room to sleep. When they asked what I was doing in there, I just said the voices in my room wouldn’t shut up.
Then, a couple years ago, I was reading when the faintest voice ever, which kept time with the fan I had on, started asking me questions like what’s my name, how old was I and stuff like that. Then it just stopped a couple minutes later. A short time later, I was walking downstairs when I heard a loud, quick crack, much too loud to just be the house. I asked my mom and sister Brooke if they heard it and they said no.
A few months later, me and Brooke were at our grandmas house. I was going into the room Brooke was in when, for a few seconds, I heard a distant, very very faint voice. An hour or two later Brooke said she heard scratches in the wall. She came into my room and soon I heard them too (our grandparents house is rodent- free).
I was working at our old family computer once a year or two ago when our ghost started making weird creaking and cracking noises in the next room. I was home alone and it was too loud to be either of our cats. I asked them to be quiet and after about fifteen minutes or a half an hour I left the room and they were quiet.
In April of ’07, my sister lost her favorite volleyball sweatshirt and no one knew where it went. No one knew either how it got into our spring clothes when we found it a few weeks later.
At one time, my sister asked me for about five or six days in a row if I was walking around outside her room at night. I said no because I hadn’t.
One summer night, I was trying to get to sleep and I heard a faint voice, I could barely hear it, yet it was like they were right in my ear. Like all the times I’ve heard our ghost’s voice, I could barely hear it, couldn’t understand it, and couldn’t tell if it was a man’s, woman’s, boy’s or girl’s.
Another time, I was trying to get to sleep and I heard my lamp string hit my lamp. I realized it was the ghost, so I said goodnight to it and tried to sleep. it happened one more time, maybe ten minutes later, but then they were quiet.
I heard a really loud crack in my room a few days ago even though no one was there and I don’t know what else it could’ve been. My sister told me our cat Jinx stares into a vent in her room a lot at night and says he looks really creepy when he starts staring.
Though not enough evidence to say it’s proof of anything, I did get this strange picture of a pretty Victorian girl in my mind. Also, the name Elizabeth comes to mind a lot with it. I love this site! keep “it” up!

YEARS AGO, WHEN I WAS SIX OR SEVEN, WE WERE STAYING IN AN OLD FARMHOUSE IN PAHOKEE, FLORIDA.
ONE DAY, CLEAR AS ANYTHING, I SAW A LADY WALK INTO THE LIBRARY. SHE WALKED PROBABLY A FOOT OFF THE FLOOR, WAS HEAVYSET, AND WORE CLOTHES FROM THE 1920S-30S.
SHE WAS SEMI- TRANSPARENT, AND SEEMED PRE-OCCUPIED. SHE HAD A DARK BUN.
BEFORE AND AFTER IVE SEEN THINGS.
THE LATEST HAVE BEEN A FEW WEEKS AGO, A WHITE MIST IN MY OLDER SONS ROOM, AND THEN A FEW DAYS LATER, A WHITE MIST IN THE KITCHEN.
WHEN THESE THINGS HAPPEN, YOU ARE LEFT TOTALLY IN SHOCK, BUT IN A GOOD WAY, ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN.
IT JUST SEEMS TO VALIDATE THINGS, AND YOURE LEFT WITH A SENSE OF PEACE, AND ODDLY, JOY.
MARY.
related to this story i can say that everytime the cat stares at an empty space it definitely has seen something. the cats in our building stare at a house known to be haunted.( we went in there once only to see floating ladders and pails.
omg i can tell you that whenever any animal of mine stares at anything like that it creeps me out. it is scary. i can tell you that i can relate to hearing noises at night…my bedroom door would swing open at night and bang against the other door. my door was not easy to open you would have to push on it twice or three times before it would actually open…i hated living there
