A friend (Bobby) just told me about some weird dreams he had a couple of weeks ago and asked me if I know someone who could say if his dreams have a special meaning. I hope that the readers of this site may have some answers for us.
The first dream begins with Bobby standing in an old, gothic church and staring at a woman who was praying in front of a statue. She was asking God for forgiveness because she has sinned badly. All of a sudden, a person who Bobby thought to be God appeared near the woman. He looked like the usual man with beard and long hair we see in the old paintings. The weird part was that he had a black robe, and claws with very long, black nails. While my friend was gazing at him, God or that person pretending to be him went to the woman and he ripped her head off. He then turned his head, he looked at Bobby and disappeared.
My friend realized that he was dreaming but instead of waking up, he began to visit the church and all over the place, he saw paintings of some kind of demons and deformed saints. He entered a room where some sort meeting took place. Deformed people, wearing black robes were gathered there, talking and worshipping someone or something. One of those men acknowledged the presence of my friend so he turned to look at him and, then he pointed toward Bobby. Then my friend woke up scared and he couldn’t sleep that night.
In another dream, my friend was running through a graveyard and two persons wearing black robes and carrying scythes were chasing him. After a while, he gave up because he thought it was useless to try to escape them. They reached my friend and killed him. He then woke up sweating and yelling.
I don’t know if this is relevant, but my friend used to be a very religious person. Yet, for a while he had lost his faith in God and he doesn’t care anymore about going to church or praying.

Anielle – to be sure, your friend is not dreaming about God. God is about love, forgiveness, kindness and peace – certainly not about fear, death and ripping off people’s heads. Most likely your friend is under demonic attack – who better to attack than a Christian who is waivering in his or her faith? Bobby needs to close the door on this by renewing his faith and his relationship with God and Christ. Nothing else will help him. Tell him to go see a minister or priest and tell them about his dreams. Continue until he finds one that takes him seriously and offers to mentor him through this.
I agree with the above comment. I’ve been under these kind of demonic attacks when I had strayed away from Christ. I rededicated my life to him and the dream attacks began. It wasn’t always clear which characters were good or bad the main thing to know is that they are demonic attacks and that satan and demons want to tear you down and keep you from doing God’s will. Tell ur friend to pray earnestly and honestly in Jesus’ name for protection. Guidance by a trusted pastor is great but remember that there is power in the blood and name of Jesus!!
